As well as this Secretsundaze marks a new chapter in the institution’s storied history with the foundation of the new imprint 9FINITY (@9finity-hq). The label aims to run with this descriptor through no-nonsense, discerning dance records from artists at the vanguard of modern club music. 

Making a statement with its maiden release, is a vinyl only V/A compiled with the considered curation synonymous with the Secretsundaze name. 9FINITY001 brings together the talents of Eoin DJ, DJ Life, Luca Attanasio, Coffintexts and E-Talking across 5 tracks and digital bonus that act as a distillation of the label’s sonic vision. The debut release, 9FINITY001, is set to drop on September 19th.

In celebration of this milestone and in true Secretsundaze style is the announcement of the 9FINITY launch party at London’s iconic Pickle Factory on September 28th. The event welcomes E-Talking and club favorite Lora Mipsum to the pickle spaceship, alongside Secretsundaze for a night of heads down, hands up dance music. When DJ Life gives you lemons, press ‘em on vinyl. 4 zesty tech house nuggets bringing the swing and vitality in a big way.

Keeping it widescreen throughout and the percussion pulls focus. At times slick and sultry, at others more ominous and ill-tempered, we’re dishing out high-velocity dynamics across four distinct trax. Constantly nudging towards the peak-time, but with plenty of breathy sensuality and dappled melody as he flexes a detailed, sound-sensitive approach.

Drums, drums and more drums. You know the deal by now: direct torque in full effect as we traverse the rugged, funked-out and percussive. Plenty of trippy flourish for good measure too, from humid fusions of rainforest FX and hallucinatory detail to light trail synths punching through inky abyss.

It all recalls Terry Francis’ and his Housey Doingz project at the peak of their powers. Big stabs, big forward momentum. Think the golden era of their Wiggle parties circa 1999.

A soundtrack for open skies and late-night reflections, built on the idea that the best things can’t be forced.
