iO (Mulen) is ready with another album. This one is not a surprise one, like his previous one was, that popped up after our huge article about his labels. This one has its own release date, proper landing on Mulen Records and, actually, proper promo period – I heard about its coming here and there for quite a long period of time before its official announcement. Sometimes I couldn’t believe that the track I was hearing was from iO – they were too banging even for his new post-minimal standards. Turned out – I didn’t even hear the ACTUAL bangers on the LP then.

Like his previous LP on Mulen Records, this one will also be divided into 3 parts, each of them will be sold separately. This was probably done with the customer in mind – if you don’t like parts 1 and 2, you can just buy part 3. But, after listening to this one in full I can easily say – it’s hard to believe, that somebody won’t like some of it. It was quite a challenge to pick a track for the premiere – too many great ones. His work is divided into 4 parts, 4 tracks inspired by the sounds of the streets, borrowing styles of ghetto house and breaks, but with a consistent minimal techno theme. He is remodeling the neighborhood vibe and groove in a simple but playful manner.

Small Great Tunes Vol. 3 is the next chapter here at Small Great Things. This powerful compilation features original tracks from artists on the Small Great Things label. The journey begins with the new collaboration between Marc Brauner & Luca Olivotto, titled "Hallo Hallo" (A1). Following that, we have Marc's original track "Many Times" (A2), a beautiful deep cut. A3 brings us "Love Moves" by Luca Olivotto, a warm and smooth house track with a rave-like bass sound, guaranteed to fill the dancefloors.

Moving on to the B side, we kick things off with "Sweat" by David Silver, a high-energy and groovy tune perfect for peak times. B2 is taken by Nephwes, presenting a slightly deeper and faster track with a captivating ambiance and a strong baseline. Finally, to conclude the journey in B3, we have DJ Merci's brilliant production, a deep track surrounded by house elements, making it a perfect addition to any dance floor.
