It rarely happens to have in our hands (and ears, in this case) something so special. When it comes to such cornerstones for music enthusiasts of several generations, sometimes you hear that "this man really needs no introduction", but we believe that is due to spending some words about a real legend. With the house blood flooding in his veins since 1969, New Jersey-born Kerri Chandler has been shaping the house movement since the early days. Fusing Detroit grooves with the deeper Chicago sonorities, funk, and soul, he established himself as an authentic institution, founding the evergreen MadHouse Records in 1992 and spreading the house verb worldwide. Today, Kerri wraps 30+ years of ever-evolving sound into a 60 minutes mix. Let there be house!

Having hosted us back in June when we rolled into Hanoi with Brasi, we needed to know more about this meticulous selector. Established himself as resident DJ at the cities Savage club, Zwi is the driving force at one of regions finest beat emporiums and has warmed up for a wide spectrum of artists that have recently included Mr. Ho, Loa Szala, nd_baumecker, Phase Fatale, Vithz, and Lamalice. As well as his continued work with Savage, Zwi also runs his own project METRØ which celebrated turning the ripe old age of six back in May. 

This diverse musical palette has led the Hanoi based Zwi to become a go to artist in the region and has massively informed his all encompassing sound. This is perfectly exhibited on his InSession for us where he moves from moody broken after hour beats through to deeper shades of house, and then through to more upfront cuts but always keeping that groove and funk strong throughout. Zwi proves that even in the far reaches of the underground there are fantastic artists and undiscovered musical gems to be found.

As part of our celebratory series of content for Guesthouse's birthday week we bring you an extract of Junki Inoue's set recorded live at Hoppetosse in Berlin at the Melcure party this November.

Resident of London's renowned Toi Toi Musik Events & Agency and more recently of Cartulis Music parties, Junki Inoue is a dedicated collector of vinyl for many years, Junki is comfortable playing sets at any time of the night and in any location: warm up, peak, closing, after-hours; warehouse or open air. Inoue’s sound stands out for its natural combination of Japanese and European traditions: precise and spare but warm and welcoming; deep and hypnotic for the mind, but always with energy and drive for the body.
