Before OOM Records was born, Jacobworld was already on our radar. And now, almost 2 years later, he's laying his ultimate skills onto the table. His debut EP "Circadian Rhythm" contains four incredible tools that brings you back to the late 90's. Opening track 'Cycle" contains an ongoing loop with some tasty layers. Deep basses, stabs and rhythmic noisy rides. "Regulate", the 2nd track continues with an intelligent noisy rhythm, a rolling bass line and some thoughtful placed stabs. On the flip side we have "Sync". An energetic loopy tool with panned out effects and of course the basic ingredients that Jacob is known for. Closing track "Response" features a tight sequence, tight beats and a subtle filter that makes the track swirl from time to time. An impressive debut is what Jacobworld delivers. And we can tell you, this is not the last he's releasing on OOM.

Tel-Vivian born Israeli artist Yotam Avni has been a constant presence in the electronic music circles for some time now.  With an uncanny knack of pumping out club bangers alongside more edgy and experimental techno, Avni has popped up with stellar releases for the likes of Innervisions, Ovum, Hotflush Recordings, Stroboscopic Artefacts, SCI+TEC and loads more.
 
His debut for Dense & Pika’s Kneaded Pains imprint pulls together three cuts on the ‘Phuture’ EP.  
 
‘Acid Avni’, as the title suggests, splurges acidic tones over a dense and driving percussive techno groove, as layers of tones nonchalantly drift over.  Rumbling drums and an ominous and industrially charged mood is set on ‘Phuture’, whilst EP finale, ‘Terrorist’, goes even deeper with an apocalyptic and brooding vibe.

Our favorite weekend of the year is back! The Dirtybird Campout is now 4 years old and gets better every year, and our annual festival of games and friends (and this year, swimming!) wouldn’t be complete with our traditional soundtrack, the “Dirtybird Campout West Compilation”.

We’ve packed in 12 brand new tracks as well as a mix from our newest Dirtybird Player, Steve Darko, who leads off the comp with “Switch It Up”. We unearthed Eli Brown’s remix of Fisher’s ‘Ya Kidding’, and Sacha Robotti & Kevin Knapp join forces for “King Midas”. James Curd makes his debut on Dirtybird with KE’s vocals on ‘Play To Win”, and Will Clarke remixes Nick Monaco’s “Drama”, which originally appeared on our East Coast comp.

Finishing off the musical journey is several new faces, including Pimpo Gama, MDE, n808, and NiQW, along with Lucati’s “Like 17, Lubelski’s “Kaya” and “Waremouse” from Wyatt Marshall & Fritz Carlton.

Highlighting the ever-evolving sound of the label, Anjunabeats is proud to welcome Tinlicker for their first single outing.

Bringing a dance floor sensibility to the deeper end of the electronic spectrum, the Dutch duo Jordi van Achthoven and Micha Heyboer have courted the attention of global labels and tastemakers since breaking out in 2013. Having played every stop of the Anjunabeats 17 date North American tour this Spring, their first single on the label partners them with Run Rivers (Chris James) for ‘Lost’. With previous collaborations including DJ Shadow and Joe Ashworth, Chris adds a yearning quality to the rolling grooves of ‘Lost’.

TInlicker explains how the collaboration came about, “The first track we tried to make with Chris just didn't want to succeed and then suddenly out of the blue this gem appeared. The power of almost giving up, but persevering comes through in the song”.

With summer shows including festival sets at Creamfields, Tomorrowland and CRSSD (CA), we look forward to discovering more about the Tinlicker universe in the coming months.

Returning to the soulful laidback house music that made them such a beloved act on Anjunadeep, Jordi and Micha are reunited with Australian singer Thomas Oliver, the voice behind ‘Nothing Without You’ and ‘Soon You’ll Be Gone’.

"Thomas Oliver has been a friend of the family ever since he appeared on Black Sun Empire's 'All Is Lost' for the first time. Together we wrote 'Soon You’ll Be Gone’ and 'Nothing Without You’, so we definitely wanted another track in collaboration with him on our album. This tune has a very nice feel-good vibe for us, and that is mainly due to Thomas' vocals. We tried to make the instrumental elements fit around it as well as possible. "

Tinlicker’s ‘This Is Not Our Universe’ will be released on vinyl, limited edition CD tin and digitally on the 27th of September. Tronic is one of the most established and longest-running techno labels in the world. Founded in 1994 by Christian Smith while he was attending University, the label now has over 430 releases under its belt. Christian and his team have paved the way for many artists including ANNA, Dosem, Wehbba, and more recently Drunken Kong. Tronic's main philosophy is simple: nonpurist, honest, house and techno. The label has released countless of artist albums and is regularly supported by the top players in the industry. Some outstanding releases have been Christian Smith's remixes of Carl Craig's seminal 'At Les" song, which has become one of the biggest vinyl sales releases of the past decade. Other notable releases and remixes came from Laurent Garnier, and Underworld. The weekly Tronic Radio show is being syndicated on over 120 stations worldwide and has had over 500 shows.
