Velvet Ep fuses melodic and organic elements with deep electronic sounds in a cross-genre between organic house, downtempo, and dub.

Green Velvet takes us on a organic melodic journey with African percussive rhythms and melted synth layered grooves. The Talented Portuguese guitar player João Morais known as (O Gajo) adds the unique sound of the Viola Campaniça (a traditional Portuguese guitar) to the original track.
Kekonoma takes the original and with their unique footprint delivers a dance floor oriented banger.

Life always finds a way.

After losing Ichu, I started reading about REM sleep. The more I read the more lost I get in this idea, what if we could REM sleep an entire lifetime. One sleep, one lifetime, imagine the possibilities, the different timelines, the different roads that can be taken and lived.

Is this possible, only one way to find out.

After reading up on journals, subreddits, different memoirs of REM sleepers we find out the different methods to REM sleep. It's a mix of music that triggers the mind to take control, of food before sleep that awakens the brain when the food is being digested.

That's the trigger, I know I’m in control now.

What do I do? Should I open the door, the door that leads me to Ichu? Should I barricade the door, forever shut her out.

Flip a coin, heads I go in...tails I barricade. 
Coin is flipped but before it hits the ground I open the door, I’m going to meet her.

Door opens, the music changes, it's more emotional, it's very emotional.

I see Ichu, it's the same frame of what I saw at Chiringuito, but elsewhere, the airport. Ichu standing at the door, staring at me and I stare back. I smile, I tear up, fist clenched. She looks around and turns back… running away, she drops a note while running.

I sprint as fast as I can, I waited for this moment for a year, more than a year… but she is gone. I go to the dropped note. It's crumbled but something is written inside.

I nervously open the letter, the hardest thing to do is to go through something not knowing what's inside it, expecting something your deep desires want brought to life but experiencing something else, that you would not want too.

“I’m sorry Hamzi, please let me go, please love me always but you need to let me go. You are slowly killing yourself holding onto a dream that will never happen. I have moved on and I will always love you for what you have done for me, but we weren't meant to be, we can never be…

Please, let me go”

I noticed a few wet spots on the paper, I could smell her perfume. I could smell her.

We live through a hundred lifetimes, every lifetime just flashes by but ends up with the letter, with the tear drops, with the smell.
It's time to let go, even a thousand lifetimes has never changed the end, always the same.

I wake up and notice a beautiful lady beside me holding my hand, I noticed my hand is old and wrinkled with age. I woke up after sleeping for 30 years, my niece beside me aged 36. Last I saw her she was just 6 years old.

I slept through the most important of days, mom and dad not there anymore. I slept selfishly hoping to live at least one lifetime with her. In the end I lost my lifetime with my family, with my beautiful nephews and niece. All because I couldn't let go.

I wish mom was here.

Ignorance is Bliss consists of 5 tracks with different styles and tempos. The idea for creating my very first EP occurred to me when listening to a conversation between Barack Obama and David Attenborough. 

They are talking about the beauty of nature and the importance of human beings being aware of protecting it. Young children have a strong connection with nature, after playing outside in the sun carefree they will at some point realise the potential danger of climate change. When creating this EP, I have sought for a sound that reflects the contrast between threat and hope.
