Alex and Malte started their musical journey in the summer of 2014. In the past years a strong friendship evolved between the two as well as an intensive musical project. In their music they use the instruments handpan and didgeridoo and create dynamically improvised sounds - contemplative and sensuous flowing into animating rhythms. In their concerts they are trying to create an atmosphere of total relaxation and inspiration in which people can just follow their mind dreams.

Kingsley roots himself in traditions of Nigerian dance and rhythm as well as other modes of expression, from jazz-infused vocals spread across octaves to intimate, entrancing lyricism, an emcee’s swagger and flow, thunderous bass guitar fluency and weighty beat production chops. As a performer, Kingsley is a proven dynamist, having shared the stage with Travis Scott, James Blake, Halsey, and other household names.

Inner Ocean Records is a platform and collective for emerging artists to release music and visual art. Based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, the label was conceptualized in 2012 as a vehicle for artists to have their music heard and seen, to build a community of passionate people.  We designed the label to be what we would have loved to have as artists ourselves, redefining the rules in an ebb and flow to the changing landscape of music. We have made a conscious commitment to be transparent, adaptable and always for the people.

We have released a lot of different sounds; Ambient, Lofi Hip Hop, RnB, Modern Funk, Future Soul and Indie. Led by the irresistible energy of master rhythm guitarist and drummer Mamadou Diop, the MAMADOU band presents a world-class cultural experience. The sound is a guitar and drum led West-African pop that includes the rhythms of high-life, juju, rumba, samba, salsa, and reggae blended into authentic Senegalese ethnic rhythms. Though MAMADOU's songs are primarily sung in many languages including his native Wolof, the language of music is universal and every audience they perform for instantly understands and reacts with joyous dance.

Mamadou Diop has over 40 years of experience performing African music throughout Africa, Europe, and North America. Born and raised in Senegal, he now resides in the United States bringing his culture to new worlds. His music culminates centuries of traditional rhythms, mixed with modern electric instrumentation, performed live by his band MAMADOU. If you have never experienced a live MAMADOU show, then you are in for a real treat!
