About a year ago, we were all sitting around wondering what ever happened to the jackin bassy house sound we were all fond of, and whining about the lack of fun but quality bassline music to smash at the rave. Well, AC Slater went and did something about it.

The title says it all on this new EP from Slates, a return to form from the producer who brought you “Jack Got Jacked,” “Take You” and “Banger." On Return of the Underground, Slater explores the punchy and wobbly bass sounds that he pioneered, pairing them with twists and turns and gunshots influenced by speed garage and those infectious classic UK bass anthems by Switch and Sinden.

This EP is four tracks of epic quality with not a sleeper in sight. The underground is back. Long live the underground.

AC Slater returns to Party Like Us Records with 'Night Moves,' an EP of bass-heavy, dancefloor-friendly music meant for the basement parties and the warehouse raves.

‘Night Moves’ kicks off with "So Sweet", featuring the bittersweet vocals of Megan Thomas layered over a bed of spaced-out chords, building up to a plunge into a dark and heavy bassline. Next up is "Go Harder," with its intro that grows into a half-time breakdown featuring a vocal hook by Party Like Us recording artist Dell Harris, and a classic Slater big bass drop. Finishing off the EP is "What You Want", a frantic grime/house hybrid with an eerily calm breakdown in the middle to break up the chaos between drops.

this time they bring you an irresistible 3 course, bass heavy feast courtesy of French duo Flatmate. 

The title track Lazarus sets the scene in a dark and menacing fashion as Flatmate take you on a super sonic journey, blending soulful chord stabs, seriously crunchy low end bass tones and a beat that knocks you clean off your feet.
After a proper weighty introduction, the second track in the trio Trident breathes some life into the EP. The intro is a lush mix of echoed guitar stabs and iconic bass house vocal samples. Flatmate definitely flex their melodic muscles on this one. 

To roundup the EP, Flatmate present to you Wrong So Right. A celebration of sound, it's last but certainly not least. Easily the heaviest dance floor killer from the EP, this one is meant for the clubs and clubs alone. The track feels like it's constantly rising into a crescendo of thumping 4x4 bass weight. Easing off in the breakdowns for a breather before those haunting chords take you right back.

Overall, a very well thought out and put together offering from Flatmate.

Freefall makes his Saucy debut with a seriously seedy tech track featuring Purple Velvet Curtains on vocals. 'Follow Me' eases in with spacey pads, an assortment of beeps and fx hits supported by a beat tighter than leather spandex. The track then escalates into an irresistible bass groove littered with a proper naughty little stuttered synth that takes the spotlight in upper end of the spectrum as PVC's lyrical talents usher the track from section to section.
