Troy "Troy Truth" Purnell formerly know as Yung Milli was born and raised in Seaford, Delaware. The youngest of four children. In 2007, Troy was the President of Hive Entertainment, a company founded by him, his older brother and a childhood friend. The following year he released, “Back Against the Wall” mixtape, as a duo with Butchie B-more in 2008. In 2011 Troy released an online project,  “Doin Me 2k11” and in 2012 released a Mixtape called “Milli’s World Vol. 1”, subtitled “Child Support”. Over 1,000 copies were distributed in the first few weeks hand- to- hand despite free online downloads and his leading singles “Gotta Be a Better Way” and “Come On” were in constant rotation on the local club circuit. In 2013, Troy founded SOM_Nation (Supporting Our Movements) with the intent to create his own sound and build his personal brand. He later re-released his hit single “Gotta Be a Better Way” featuring Tykena Hagans, produced by Scootie J in which this song actually began his ministry though it wasn't quite clear yet. 

BUT THROUGH IT ALL ,....The search for a better way had finally come to an end as the Lord answered Troy's cry for the peace he had been seeking for so long-

​! That Better way!  

August 17th 2014, Family and firends day, Fresh Fire worship Center, Troy accepted Christ as his personal savior and plans to spread the gospel through an artistic style of music that many refer to as Gospel rap !!! This is how he will bridge gaps and minister to many in hopes that they will receive the word;  relaying the truth, the way and the life through his testimony!   

Brotha Troy now attends Divine Destiny COG in Bridgeville DE and has been very active in the Seaford community serving as Volunteer for seaford Parks and recreation basketball, Nanticoke Little and Chairman of the Gotta Be A better Way Foundation, a community based non-profit for youth.
