This is a photo of a girl named Tiny in her halloween costume. A documentary was focused on her and other homeless kids her age in Seattle called "Streetwise" directed by Martin Bell. Tiny was a prostitute at 14 and allowed the director and photographer into her unique and heartbreaking life. I made her the cover of My Baby because she personifies growing up too fast, and how society might support or lead you to withdraw yourself from your childish and playful instincts into what is institutionalized. This photo was taken by his wife Mary Ellen Mark.
