Guided by a deep sense of care, intention-setting, and curiosity, Bambi comes to the end of 2025 closing a career-defining chapter of her practice. From the misty Norwegian forest floor of Monument to the charged dancefloors of Nowadays, the Paris-based resident and touring DJ, producer, and curator’s year has been shaped by appearances across Europe, the US, and soon, down under.

Attuned to the rhythm of life on the road, Bambi approaches every set as an act of dialogue between the places she visits, the community and culture she engages with, and her own colourful emotional world. Her home-base performances are treated with commensurate care and consideration and has led Bambi to be entrusted with the increasingly rare role of resident at high quality haunts of the likes of Hypersoft, Macadam Nantes, and Hors Sol.

These positions of trust, alongside her radio residency on Rinse, have provided essential spaces for Bambi to stretch, to explore and experiment - ultimately becoming an extension of her refined artistic identity.

This year also saw her debut releases come to light - two exquisitely crafted tracks that mark the beginning of a production journey that has further sharpened her ear and deepened her relationship to sound. Her standout track ‘Ephemeral’ on UK label Beam is a perfect expression of atmospheric tech-trance that marks an exciting new dimension of Bambi’s ever-expanding artistry.

This was a mix I made for a series called 'Music for Theatre Lobbies' in December 2020. It appears the original recording is no longer online, so I am sharing it here. I really like the energy of this mix, it has a lot of beautiful music I keep returning to.  The accompanying photo is of a genkan at a temple, taken in the same month the mix was made.

The recording of my ambient set at Sustain Release Year 11, opening the Bossa Lounge on Saturday evening from 9PM-midnight. 

This set is 3 hours from the heart journeying through time&space across ambient, downtempo, trip hop, acoustic instrumentals, synthesiser pieces and all inbetween 💞 

This is one of my favourite ambient DJing experiences I've had, I felt so at home in the Bossa Lounge and such a deep sense of attentiveness from the audience, thank you to all those who travelled with me on this trip.

G. ZIFCAK is a musician and audiovisual artist living in NYC. He has been a steady presence in various scenes stretching from late 90s Portland raves through 2000s Bay Area experimental club and noise shows in warehouses and basements across the US and Europe and beyond. 
A preoccupation with de- and re-contextualized music and production equipment motivates his approach to audio, video, and lighting systems. This deconstruction of mechanism led him into DIY electronics early on, and he continues to build and modify much of his gear.

FADA2EYAT’s last episode of the year is a special one for me, because none other than Brooklyn pillar and multifaceted artist Lychee takes charge!

Lychee was one of the first DJs to inspire me when I started going out. They’re known for deep, psychedelic selections, and an immaculate sense of whatever room they’re playing demands.  

Their extensive connection to the dancefloor is merely logic — it goes way beyond DJing! They organize community events, are staff member at Nowadays and The Bunker, and even hosted their own mix and interview series Spontaneous Affinity, which focuses on the communal nature of dancefloors. They’re also part of highly influential Brooklyn collective Antidote and were a board member of the Aslice foundation.
 
Tonight, rather than have us dancing knees to the floor, they take us on an elaborate space voyage that’s intended for radio listening.

Treating DJing as form of autobiography, the Maryland-based selector updates DJ /rupture's millennium-era blueprint “Gold Teeth Thief” for 2025. 

Opening with a Mae Brussell sample on “utopian dreams,” the mix careens through Houston rap, 2002 era IDM, Bengali bass, reggaeton and an assortment of genre-defying pivots, building something that feels both reverent tribute and bold statement.
