We are dedicated to preserving the essence of Amsterdam's Techno scene by placing a strong emphasis on the music and the Dance Floor. DFM is not just another party, it’s about nurturing the heartbeat of our culture, ensuring the Dance Floor remains a vibrant, living entity.

We welcome consensual connections in every form, but connection on the Dance Floor is about moving with the sound, being part of something shared and meaningful. Conversation and phone use is encouraged anywhere else, but on the Dance Floor, we immerse ourselves fully in the music, allowing it to bring us together in a collective experience.

Dance Floor Maintenance is a collective of core local and international residents, where each member shares equal ownership and guides the project’s evolution. Our focus is on creating an intimate experience for true techno enthusiasts. With only four events per year, we emphasise quality over quantity, ensuring that each night becomes a unique masterpiece of sound and energy.

Our process is collaborative from start to finish. Each DJ brings their unique flair and style of proper, non business Techno, yet we all drive towards a cohesive sound throughout the night that serves the greater good of the Dance Floor. This approach ensures that every event feels powerful, unified, and deeply connected to the crowd.

We are a community grounded in respect, inclusivity, privacy, and freedom of expression. We commit to maintaining a space where discrimination has no place—be it homophobia, sexism, racism, xenophobia, antisemitism, transphobia, bullying, or any other imaginable form of discrimination.
