On a Thursday night in the year 2003, Mike Burns was on his way to play an acoustic showcase in Medford, Oregon. Upon walking on stage, the announcer said over the mic, "and here is LeBurnsy!" Ten years later the nickname sticks with Mike all the way across the nation. Starting his career in Southern Oregon, and then moving to Central Florida in 2009, he has played with many bands of many different styles. Opening for acts such as Toots and the Maytals, Pato Banton, The Aggrolites, Ballyhoo, The Expendables, Tomorrow's Bad Seeds, Mike Pinto Band, Whole Wheat Bread, The Supervillains, Passafire, The Green, Cas Haley, Fishbone, and many more. Learning stage presence and songwriting skills from these greats over the years has made LeBurnsy's style so differentiated and pleasurable to listen. He has a driving roots-reggae guitar style accompanied by powerful vocals. Not to mention his ability to use the loop pedal to perform Trumpet, Trombone, and Djembe solos on top of songs.
