FaReal June is an American Hip-Hop/Rap artist and percussionist from Atlanta, Ga. He grew up and lived on the eastside of Atlanta in areas such as Lithonia, Decatur, Stone Mountain, and East Atlanta (2nd Ave, Bouldercrest & Flat Shoals). His journey as a musician began at the very young age of 2 when he first touched a drum set. As a child, he would always sing and dance to his father’s record player revering his musical idol to be Michael Jackson. However, he would still find himself interested in some of his Dad’s other records/vinyl from artists such as LL Cool J, NWA/Ice Cube, etc. His father also introduced him to the movie Krush Groove. With his father being from Brooklyn, NY, he would begin introducing June to a more northern style of rap, but June still held his southern roots tight and close to his chest. At 8 years old, FaReal June began writing his own rap lyrics modeling after an older cousin of his who did so as well. Off and on for years, FaReal June honed in on his craft. It wasn’t until 2016 that he released his very first solo EP Nobody Better to stake his claim in the rap game. 2019; Anomaly Vol.1: This Ain’t for Squares and in 2020; Anomaly Vol. 2: Wild Wild East. Til this day, FaReal June remains present and is currently working on a new body of work to be released early 2025.

A Sufi’s nature is to refuse to submit to imposed beliefs, and who is conscious that life is not necessarily just what one might think it to be, nor what one is told it to be. Life is not only lived at the level of physical experience, nor only at the level of thought, nor only at the level of feeling, but also, and most importantly, at a still higher level of consciousness, where the self is no more the barrier separating reality from illusion. Perhaps one might discover someday what it really means to have inner security, when seeing that all things only have just as much importance as one attaches to them. Nothing is important and yet everything is important, but that which seems so important to oneself does not always seem important to others.
