Jam El Mar cut his teeth as one half of esteemed duo Jam & Spoon, with the pair achieving international recognition and receiving gold and platinum awards around the world for their releases. Now a solo artist, he’s been making some serious in-roads in the studio of late and this release is a prime example of what’s in store.

He debuts on Truesoul with ‘Touched By Fire EP’, which opens with ‘Stab’, a haunting track crammed full of piercing drums, whirling vocals and sharp synth stabs. This one has 7am written all over it. ‘Freak Out’, a simple yet dynamic track that creates a consistent journey based around the savvy vocal. Excellently produced and cleverly arranged, Jam’s vast experience as a producer shines through clearly.
