Originally released on the R&S Records sub-label Global Cuts in 1993, ‘20HZ’ by Capricorn became the breakthrough track for its creator Hans Weekhout, a Dutch multi-instrumentalist who started his career recording and mixing for international artists such as Falco and Ian Gillan.

With its memorable combination of those rolling and thunderous marching drums, glacial marimba-like melodies and a tense, trance inducing atmosphere, ‘20HZ’ has become one of dance music’s most enduring tracks. Hitting the singles charts in Holland, Belgium, UK and France on release, and still being played week in and week out across clubs and festivals thirty years later, it’s fair to say that Capricorn’s snare drum driven hit can be classed as a bone fide classic.

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of this behemoth anthem, R&S Records have enlisted an eclectic line-up of artists to add their own touches to a suite of remixes. 

Carl Cox helped break this record on its original release, it’s befitting that the global dance icon puts his stamp firmly onto it, jacking up the drums and turning up a big room monster version, ‘oh yes, oh yes’!

Mary Droppinz lives by a simple truth: music is an out of body experience. 
Her eclectic sound travels all over the dance spectrum and takes listeners on a journey across genres-seamlessly blending electro, breaks, house, acid, techno, UKG, speed garage, minimal dubstep, DnB, and hip-hop all in one set. Mary’s fascination with rhythm began when growing up in her native Omaha, 
Nebraska as a result of her father’s seasoned skills as a drummer. She quickly started on the piano and carried that musical influence all the way to her current home of Los Angeles where she also went to production school at IO Academy. 

Her technical skill whilst DJing has turned her into one of the strongest selectors in Southern California. 

Over the last year alone, she has played across the country and internationally taking on major stages 
including Spybar, Amnesia Ibiza, Mission Ballroom, Greek Theater Berkeley, Elsewhere NYC, Brooklyn 
Mirage, insane debut performances at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Coachella, EDC LV, Dirtybird Campout, Seismic, Groove Cruise, Desert Hearts, and a residency at Discopussy in Las Vegas. Additionally, she has released exclusive mixes for Diplo’s Revolution on Sirius XM and the infamous Cutsnake + Friends 
radio show. 

Mary’s production is just as versatile as her DJ sets and definitely just as successful. Her combination of 
breakbeats and acid-driven tracks have become recognizable to listeners almost immediately and landed her support from staple press outlets such as Gray Area, Billboard, EDM.com, EDM Identity, and

A new artistic pairing to grace the Balance Music catalogue, NILU & Philipp Straub now join forces to create 'The Gate' EP. A common sight across the clubs of his Denmark home, NILU has been a key component of the likes of Culture Box and Werkstatt while also performing on the international stage in Berlin, Tokyo, Ibiza and Tel Aviv. A 5-year production career that began with a twin-track EP on Sezer Uysal's Dark Pleasure Records has subsequently seen a raft of original music on the likes of Einmusika, Bar 25 and Bunny Tiger Dubs, the latter seeing the 'We Both Know' EP released in July 2023. 

A legendary figure in the world of underground dance music, Philipp Straub has been at the upper echelons of an ever-changing industry for three decades. A regular performer across his Austrian homeland and beyond as an internationally touring DJ, Philipp's ability to captivate audiences with a distinctive and innovative blend of music has seen him much in-demand across central Europe, the Middle East and beyond. French-based duo The Dualz return to Anjunadeep with their ‘Inside Me EP’. Having previously released on labels including Ben Böhmer’s Ton Töpferei, Way Of House and Parquet, Kevin and Geoffrey affirm their strong chemistry as producers with three stand-out melodic house tracks.

Opening the EP is title track ‘Inside Me’, first heard on Anjunadeep 11, which features a gorgeous lead vocal layered with a bouncing percussive groove. ‘Day By Day’ is filled with dark fluttering arpeggios whilst closing track ‘Beyond’ leads with a dreamlike vocal accompanied by pulsating synths.

Stockholm based Mikael Nordgren, aka Tiger Stripes has slowly but surely built up a solid international career as a prestigious and well sought after underground producer, remixer and DJ.

The Swedish has one of the deepest discographies in house and techno, marked by an ear for deep grooves, dynamic arrangements and cleverly utilised vocals. In a career spanning 15 years, those-in-the-know won’t argue: he’s one of the industry’s most dependable and creative talents.

As Tiger Stripes he has travelled every corner of the world playing his techno and gritty tech house. Mikael has played legendary clubs like Panorama Bar, Space Ibiza and Watergate and his music has been released by heavyweight underground labels, like Drumcode, Desolat and Hot Creations and he has collaborated with legends like Kerri Chandler, Adeva, Leroy Burgess and Jerome Sydenham.

Beacon Bloom are an ethereal, genre-fluid electronica act hidden away in New Zealand. ‘Droplet’ is the band's debut release with Australian and New Zealand based boutique label Beat & Path.  For Beacon Bloom, 2021 will start with multiple festival performances in New Zealand and a potential European tour (dependent on COVID-19).

‘Droplet’ is an electronica journey of haunting vocals and walls of hypnotic ocean-like synths, driven along by the low end of deep house. The track takes thematic inspiration from the planetary water
