International DJ, producer, remixer, and label owner Sharam Jey has been shaking up the world of dance music since the early 90s with his infectious and accessible dance-floor ready grooves. Over the years, the Cologne-based artist has racked up numerous accolades and achievements, including releasing three acclaimed albums (4 Da Loverz in 2005, In My Blood in 2009, Invisible in 2018), having over 100 releases on some of dance music’s most established labels (Toolroom, Cajual, Sola Records, Kittball, King Kong Records), and amassing a remarkable remix resume of high-profile artists including Zayn, Moby, Gossip, Faith No More, Faithless, Diplo & Don Diablo, and Mason & Roisin Murphy amongst others.

Sharam Jey’s success and longevity in the often fickle and fast-paced music industry is a credit to his undeniable talent for pushing things forward, relating to the masses, and standing out from the crowd with his own unique brand of house music. A fine example of this is the gifted German’s late 2018 third LP Invisible, which was released (via Bunny Tiger) to much acclaim and features guest vocal contributions from established and up-and-coming artists such as Little Boots, Dirty Vegas, KLP, Kat, Dacia Bridges, and Ashibah. Jey explains: “My inspiration for Invisible was not to follow trends but to put my own musical vision together which mainly derives from 80s electronic influences. I wanted the LP to have a melodic-synth approach and be suitable to listen to at home, work, in the car, or when preparing yourself for a club night. It’s a very personal album.”

Outside the studio, Sharam Jey continues to share his love for music by uniting clubbers at leading nightclubs, festivals, and events with his dynamic DJ sets and relentless energy behind the decks. Throughout his esteemed career, the talented German’s music and DJing skills have taken him to every corner of the globe, and he is still very much in demand with prominent recent tours in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Russia, Germany, and Asia.

Another huge passion of Jey’s is owning and running the successful record label Bunny Tiger. His philosophy for the imprint has always been to supply 100% DJ tools from DJs to DJs, and since its 2012 conception, it has come a long way, becoming one of Beatport’s top-performing labels (Label of the Year Top 10 (2013), five overall No.1s, 20+ top 10 tracks in the NuDisco chart). Bunny Tiger is currently celebrating its 5th anniversary with an expanded ‘Best of’ compilation album.

With continued support from key industry players, a busy tour diary, and a packed release schedule, Sharam Jey is on a roll, and there’s no sign of one of the industry’s hardest workers stopping anytime soon.

BIO
DJ & Producer, lover of the 80’s, 90’s, grunge, graphic design, and digital marketing, as well as social communication.

He began his musical career empirically at the age of 13, integrating as a vocalist in various rock bands from that age until he was 30 years old.

In 2012 he started playing progressive house empirically. Later in 2021 he began to experiment playing melodic techno, which he left a year later when he found the sound he had been looking for so much, a much darker and deeper sound, finding it in Indie Dance and Dark Disco, relating the sounds of these genres with the nostalgia of the 80’s.

At the end of 2023, he made his first track called Chicle Infinito in collaboration with his friend @realDoall That same year he founded, together with Doall and his friend @_eme.musik , the collective called Lhabial https://on.soundcloud.com/cY5f9kZNFAkConKA9

Now he is about to release his first EP called G.O.D. (Guadalajara On Darkness) from which comes the first single called Guadarklajara, a track signed by @CSRecordings , which will be released on June 26 @ @beatport

To this abstract human lover of the darkest frequencies with overtones of terror and a little scary seasoned with good vibes, those represent strength and power. The same ones that tell us a story in each beat and make us fly and land in each change of tone with that sigh that hits directly in your brain, manipulating your heartbeats. It's electric to begin, with frenetic rhythms and atmospheres prostrate in the depths of the night; This is Granados' sound which quickly becomes contagious on the dance floor.

It all began right there on the playa, six years ago under the rays of the morning sun, immersed in the magic of the beautiful Robot Heart sound stage.  A community so powerful and strong, it has become the biggest inspiration for my own musical journey. The people I met, the music I heard and the feelings I had that first night have left a lasting impression and inspired me to learn a new skill and start playing and producing music.

In the modern world, traveling around the world, making countless acquaintances we get lost in this endless whirlpool of activity. We start seeking a sense of belonging, experiences that unite us and inspire to create. This is what Robot Heart does for many of us, whether you come here to dance, play or connect. 

My own experience led me to start experimenting with sound and styles, curating artists that would join us on the playa for a week and become family for life.  We grew into a amazing community, which we call White Ocean, united by our love and passion for creativity and exploration. There is nothing more inspiring for me at the moment than seeing how music can improve our lives and open our minds to new adventures and experiences. It did it for me......

It has been the greatest honor to come back to where it all started and play my set for Robot Heart's 10 year anniversary on the playa. I wish your journey to continue for my years to come:)
