For the eight edition of their label catalogue, [selected] puts the focus on their residents again. The Berlin based duo Lyric are in charge of this one, putting hypnotizing loops and tantalizing rhythms as their main focus.
As it should be, the EP starts out with its „Introduction”. It is plain and simple – no playing around, straight to the point techno without unwanted attitude or makeup. Sounds creeping in and out, searching for their roots and restlessly evolving by any means necessary.
Only the universe is „Eternal”. The mesmerizing scapes and slashes that build the composition construct a feeling of endless enchantment, while leaving no room for doubts that this is – indeed – eternal.
„Neologism” digs deeper and explores the greater realms of the genre. Soft keys dangle over ones head like an asymmetric pendulum – drooling you in, putting you in a transcendent state where everything is nothing and no limits seem to exist.
While still in trance, „Hemisphere” puts a spin on the record’s atmosphere. The mind boggling loop character is still very present, the odd chord progression puts an unexpected twist on it. Almost nightmare-ish, the elements gather and layer around you like a snake that has just shed its skin.
For the finale A.Morgan puts his spin on „Hemisphere”. The chords get more stabby, a range of belly, clinching percussion are eager to express themselves, tumbling through spheres of light and darkness.

The very first vinyl on the label is handled by the founder Arkan. In this one he wanted to propose a different approach with a more emotional EP based on vocals and deep feelings that illustrates part of his own life.

« We Move » represents the way we as humans are growing in life, by thinking, experiencing, feeling and learning, we are transmitting so much to each others until the very end.

The EP is composed by 4 tracks including one vocal collaboration with Radical Softness & Gertruda. With this special release, Arkan wanted to transmit the vulnerability that we need to express to each others in order to build authentic relationships and trust, but also allowing us to accept our body and mind to heal our past trauma and become the best version of ourselves.

RNGD was born in 2018 looking for an honest way to express as a techno artist. Sociedad Groove Records presents "Against All Odds EP', the new EP by SYM, delivering his signature groovy and dance-driven techno with a deeper edge.

The release opens with “Against All Odds”, a dark, driving track built for late-night tension, followed by “Show Must Go On”, where SYM pushes his rhythmic energy into even heavier, more shadowed territory. TRYCK is a Berlin-based DJ and producer known for his driving and hypnotic techno sound. As a resident of the Oxytocin collective, he shapes the city’s scene with energetic, atmospheric sets and his own productions.
