These sets are a sonic time capsule from one of the most unforgettable weekends imaginable: Bacchanalia VI.

Held deep in the wild beauty of Tahoe, spread across two extraordinary nights, and inspired by the mythos of Westworld and the revelry of Studio 54, the party invited us to step beyond the veil of reality and into a world where we explored the outer edges of consciousness.

We arrived at the foot of the mountain, overlooking the lake at the epic Reverie Ranch, anticipating, inspired, and curious.

The journey began with an unforgettable sunset, the sky ablaze in molten gold as music echoed through the trees. As night fell on that first evening and we danced deeper into the unknown, a storm rolled in, slowly at first, then all at once, engulfing us in a whiteout of snow and sound.

By morning, the world was transformed. Everything lay beneath a blanket of soft, silent magic. That same magic carried us into the second night, where we summoned the spirit of Studio 54 and danced in full Technicolor abandon.

These recordings capture the electricity of it all. Each DJ set a breadcrumb on the path inward, into the maze of self and sound. There were no rules, only revelations. The deeper you ventured, the stranger and more beautiful it became.

This collection is a tribute to the party, to our extraordinary hosts Matt and Lizzy, and to the risk-takers, dancers, and dreamers who dared to question the nature of their own reality.

Consciousness isn’t a journey upward, but inward. Not a pyramid, but a maze.

A sound experiment after some personal exploration. A dive into soundwaves, downtempo, weird and wonk frequencies. This style is something that I want to explore a bit more of but for now its a reflection of a moment and an exchange I had with some birds.

A glorious evening, my first burn and the man has just burned to the ground. We head back to camp, Jungle Oddity, to restock on supplies and as a big dust storm starts to really kick up I get the opportunity to jump on the decks...what an experience!!!

Camp mates, close mates, lovers, friends and strangers off the street all grooving away on the dancefloor. To date, and without doubt, this was my most joyful and rewarding Dj'ing experience - even with the temporary power cut! 

Thank you to all the ravers (and whomever refilled the genie) the energy in the room was insane...I also want to send a special thank you to that one couple who kept on going and going and going through out my whole set, I don't know who you are but your moves and your connection to the music was incredible! It made me so happy to play for you and to see you enjoy it so much.

Big thanks also must go to Joshua and Sora for imagining, building and creating such a special place for creative expression and to Ryan (DJ Katsu), Jorel and all the other DJ's for the support.

Pronounced with a French accent; ‘Trai Arder!’

Try Harder was born during a sunrise set at the afters of the engagement party of his best friends and subsequently christened by the dancefloor (in particular by two very special idiots).

The name has several meanings…

Try Harder; to be better
continually try to improve, apply more effort, persevere

And 

Try Harder; music 
play dirtier, play louder, play darker, play harder   

Try Harder is a DJ from London who doesn’t take himself too seriously, influenced heavily by the city’s underground rave scene and his travels to the electronic music meccas of Berlin, Ibiza & Burning Man. 

Always trying harder he’s now been lucky enough to play parties in London, New York, Paris, Ibiza, Palm Springs and Black Rock City. 

He’s not perfect and never will be but he will always Try Harder 😊
