Earlier this year Desert Dwellers released their most diverse album in the duo's long career. The Great Mystery was the first full length collaborative project just between the main founders Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe, and featured a wide range of styles and aesthetics from downtempo and psychedelic dub to tribal trance to exotic house and techno flavors.

To celebrate the special release, Desert Dwellers have curated an ambitious two-part remix album with a total of 25 contributions from some of the brightest luminaries and rising talents across the underground electronic music landscape. The Great Mystery Remixes Part 2 is slated for a November 1st release on the DD Bandcamp page, and features sonic reinterpretations from Emancipator, Aligning Minds, Mumukshu, Sixis, David Starfire, Whitebear, Erothyme, Mystral, Master Minded, Halfred & Enzalla, Lulacruza, Bumble, Soohan, and Supersyllius. With artists from across the globe and musical genres, these carefully crafting renditions of Desert Dwellers' The Great Mystery are a potent combination of immersive soundscapes that pay a loving tribute to the original compositions.

The classically trained musician Worakls surprises with yet another high-quality two tracker for Hungry Music. He dedicates the release and track one to the electro-mechanical, polyphonic tape replay keyboard named Mellotron. The Mellotron was often used by the Beatles, Genesis and King Crimson. It became a notable instrument in progressive rock during the 1960s until the 1980s. Worakls crafts a well balanced musical piece featuring the trademark Mellotron sound, combined with a cutting-edge and warm dance groove. The orchestral atmospheric elements give ‘Mellotron’ that indescribable timeless touch that Worakls delivers so well.

Next up is the dramatic & energy filled ‘Pandemonium” composition. Worakls once again skillfully combines not only two but three musical genres and molds them into an epic dance track. The string section and diabolical brass instruments set the dramaturgical vibe, while the various layers of guitars rock their way into mayhem. The strong 4/4 beat carries the musical elements gracefully and provides full dancefloor compatibility.

I wanted to put together an hour set of the sort of thing you can expect if you come to see me play live, it's more or less all of my released music (with one new thing at the end) and i love playing it on a big system, doesn't sound too bad on headphones either though!

This is the culmination of about a decade of making music, from the shitty tracks i used to make on my PS1 to now has been quite a journey!

So whack it on, crank it up and have a little bounce, there's lots of new music on the horizon.

Presenting 'Diamond', the first track from @Uraanofficial’s debut 4-track ‘Motherland’ EP for Outtallectuals, blending elements of triphop, IDM and techno with the group’s regional signature sound from Yakutia, Siberia.

Starting with the cold wailing melodies of downtempo openers, ‘Diamond’ and ‘Endless’, the EP gradually moves to the throat-singing-led experimental techno of ‘Ancestors Call’, before ending with ‘Sunrise Celebration’; a positive up-tempo blend of Siberian post-rock and electronica, in collaboration with Yakutian orchestra, Kyl Sakha.

Worldwide digital release date on 22th December.
