Erato (Wihan Groenewald) is a DJ/producer whose musical journey began behind the decks in 2013 at the age of fifteen. Growing up surrounded by music and drawn to a wide range of genres, his early years as a DJ shaped a deep understanding of groove, flow, and dance-floor energy — foundations that now define his work in the studio. 

Focusing primarily on psychedelic and minimal techno, Erato’s productions sit at the intersection of driving techno structures and psychedelic expression. His sound is characterized by rolling, elastic basslines, hypnotic rhythms, evolving textures, and carefully crafted tension that unfolds over time. Subtle psychedelic elements, atmospheric sound design, and movement-driven arrangements form immersive journeys built for deep, late-night dance floors. 

While Psy and minimal tech remains the core direction, experimentation plays a central role in his creative process. Drawing from his diverse musical background, Erato continuously refines his sonic identity, exploring new textures and ideas while maintaining a strong, forward-pushing underground aesthetic. His music is designed not only to move bodies, but to pull listeners into a focused, hypnotic state where rhythm, space, and energy collide.
