Hailing from Berkeley, California 26 year old producer Spoken Bird brings us his debut EP, How Old is the Wind. Drawing influences from glitch, breaks, downtempo and psy dub, the album brings a mixture of cinematic soundscapes, psychedelic atmospheres, and crunked out west coast bass, while taking the listener on a journey through the depths of their own imagination.

Aquascape project was created in 2004 by two Moscow musicians Andrey Kostomarov and Anton Salikov.

Having years of experience in live underground music, they felt necessary to bring their inner imagination and creativity to the vast fields of intelligent electronic music. Being primary studio project, colleagues intensified into infinity of sound design and deep, multifaceted and emotionally rich melodies, due to what their music is often being applied in scientific and naturalistic films.

In 2008 Aquascape has been enriched by Valery Gorick- musician from Sochi, which brought some elements of classical melodics into the Aqua-sound, and amazing vocalist Anastasia Migova from Moscow.

After such reinforcement, the project has risen to new quality level.

Meta Zen closing out the Silent Disco at WTF 2017 - If you are not familiar with Silent Discos, there are multiple djs playing and dancers get to choose which channel they listen to. There were two other dj's playing- I was the blue channel as we closed out the stage on the last night. I got some great feedback... and the picture speaks for itself.   Next up I will be opening up for Spoken Bird and Soulacybin on July 14th here in Pdx. Please share, download, etc.

Meta Zen - Ethereal Thursdays (2017 - 11 - 16)

One of my resident DJ sets opening up for Craftal, Chrome Wolves, and Buku.  The night went off,- every artist put together a great set
However, I feel this might be some of my best work yet, mashing, looping, and mixing through your inner and outer cosmos.... Honestly, I'm excited to keep pushing my limits.

So this mix is not for the faint of heart, its some of the hardest, filthiest, most psychedelic music I have in my arsenal.  It is probably best suited for your super hyphee house party or gym time.  I'm gonna have to dig deep for my next set.
