01 Can't Stop Thinking

A remix of Swarming from the Efterklang debut album Tripper (2004, The Leaf Label & Rumraket). Swarming was released as a digitally single including this remix in April 2005 (The Leaf Label)

Opiate (also known as Thomas Knak) from Copenhagen is one of the most renowned electronic artists around and has been a continuous inspiration for Efterklang since they fell in love with his masterpiece Objects for An Ideal Home (2001, April Records).

This remix is made by Glitterbug aka Till Rohmann from Germany.

The original version of Alike can be found on Efterklang's 3rd album 'Magic Chairs' (2010, 4AD & Rumraket) and Till Rohmann actually helped Efterklang getting started with making 'Magic Chairs' back in 2009. Together with Ronni Schendar, he runs the c-sides festival and the two of them invited Efterklang to Tel Aviv for two weeks in February 2009. During those two weeks Efterklang rehearsed and worked on songs like I Was Playing Drums, Alike, Me Me Me the Brick House for the very first time.

The crackling of the fireplace fades into the crisp night as the little girl wanders deeper into the dim-lit forest. She feels her way through dew-kissed ferns and climbs over soggy, rotten stumps until she happens across a clearing. 

Laying herself onto her back, the bed of moss engulfs her like a soft sponge. She holds in her breath to bathe in the damp quiet. She feels innocuous insects as they crawl over her, treating her as if she’s just another natural element of the forest. 

Suddenly, sparkled particles begin to appear and disappear, dancing and floating as geometric shapes that cast complex shadows upon the surrounding, patient trees. Their verdant luminescence is blinding, yet comforting. 

All of her senses are flooded with Static.
