This is the full version of the music that plays during Steven's dream in Lion 3: Straight to Video. Joe and I were scheduled to pitch our storyboards one day, but something came up and we had to postpone the pitch. I stayed in the conference room and started making up a silly song in GarageBand while I waited. Later on I thought it would be fun to use that song for the scene in Lion 3! It turned out to be weirdly appropriate for Dogcopter's speech. I had a lot of fun writing the dialogue for this scene with some assistance from Rebecca. There's some ideas in there that I feel really strongly about and it's really cool that they could make it into the show!

YG's is the third single off of the Pimp & the Panther EP, which chronicles the phenomena of street violence without any OG's to keep control. The song's high energy "turn up" theme is accentuated by a laid back, yet technically hi-tempo atmospheric beat, laying the groundwork for a lyrical narrative about chaos and youth.

Musing freely on two themes from Disasterpeace's FEZ soundtrack: "Beacon" and "Forgotten." 

Amazingly, this was me and surasshu's first collaboration in person! It was great to feel things out and play off of each other face-to-face. The end result is different than what we're both used to - much more loose and improvisatory-sounding, as you'd expect from two people making music in a room together. 

We named our arrangement "Come Back" in reference to both the words beacon (a guiding light) and forgotten (something you've encountered in the past, but have lost.)

We hope that you enjoy it!
