life is a journey and music is my soundtrack to it ,i wrote this song traveling around south Portugal at the start of summer 2022 and at the tail end of a 2 year pandemic when travel was no longer possible or an option ..
I hope i have captured some of the energy and sights and sounds of this trip and found signs of life

A trans-Pacific cooperation at it's best. Josh (Entheogenic Psychonaught) asked me if I was interested in working on a project together. I had a basic idea that he transformed with his amazing drum, bass, organ and guitar wizardry into what you can hear. Many thanks to Josh for giving me this opportunity and for all of his time spent on this. 
It's quite amazing what can be achieved through modern technology. I never imagined being able to work with someone on the other side of the world on a music project and that someone other than my family might hear the result (showing my age here).

Aisle ( feat G.U.P. Alcaro)

Through some bracket fuckery, I somehow managed to brute force my way back into the main NGADM bracket after having technically lost in round 1. Because I've been gifted a second chance, I'm pulling out all the stops and going back to a classic style of mine - big, dramatic orchestra with an east-asian flourish. Overdone? Perhaps a little, but I love how it sounds and it's fun to write.

Here's a fun piece of trivia - the solo string instrument in this song could either be a Chinese Erhu or a Japanese Kokyū depending on your imagination, as they're both bowed string instruments and sound nearly identical. In fact, "kokyū" in Japanese can actually refer to any asian bowed string instrument - so you'd technically be correct either way.

So We Meet is a symphonic journey of opposites — fire against water, danger against serenity. At its heart, though, it’s not just about elements but about people, the clashes and harmonies we carry within.

The music opens with lush cinematic strings and haunting piano motifs, slowly unfolding into a grand, operatic soundscape. Ethereal choirs rise like waves, while ambient guitars and shimmering synths weave around them. Drums strike with purpose, building momentum toward a towering climax — where passion, fear, and resilience collide in a storm of sound.

Epic yet intimate, So We Meet is both a duel and a dance — reminding us that in every confrontation lies the chance for balance, and in every struggle, a reflection of ourselves.
