Плазма - a radio podcast exploring the spectrum of Trance music through the encapsulation of the psychedelic sonic experience within today's club settings. Each 'story' will be presented by new emerging talents every month.

I had the pleasure to be joined by 2 guests bringing incredible talent to our scene.


First hour: @dvd-c -  one of the faces pushing for the progressive and psychedelic revival in the London queer scene for the last few years. With a range of stellar guest radio shows and residencies under his belt, the @psy-buzz founder's sound is heavily influenced by the history of dance music and his dedication to the dance community.
David’s sound is genre-spanning within all things psychedelic and buzzy. This has got him shows at Dalston Superstore’s Homodrop as a resident, Homostash and Adonis, playing alongside Kasra V, Marie Malarie, Tred, Bethan and more.

Second hour: @izzylocke -  Australian-born London-based DJ and producer, Izzy plays a mix of breaks, techno and electro, which has been her inspiration for the music she produces. With releases on Phenomena, Oramics, Vief Records, Music for Change, and Do As You Please, the young artist has a lot under her belt already. Her mixes experiment with sounds from the more ephemeral side of techno, being fast and dark - combining this with breakbeat, acid and trance, Izzy aims for her mixes to be progressive and emotive.

Starting with mixing drinks instead of tracks, goldie soon discovered her eternal passion for house music and made her first steps into djing.
The environment she creates on the dance floor has earned her a residency at objekt klein a. Since 2022 she is also part of the booking team and curates her own party series, SYMPTOMS. As a booker, DJ and co-founder of the young label fragmented, goldie is also an important figure in the Dresden scene. From there, her groove spreads like wildfire, but never strays from goldies very own path. So be sure when it comes to house music - SHE IS SERVING.

> What were the thoughts behind the mix?

It's been a while since I have recorded a set that wasn't meant to be heard in a club setting, and I had a great time putting tracks together for the curious listener. That being said, I also love creating journeys for the dancers, and I wanted the set to reflect the pre-party you have with yourself in the bedroom before going out to a big night! A good mix of energizing, sexy trance, breaks and techno.
Group Therapy has been a big part of the cutest moments I've had throughout the last year, and if I should put some audio on some of those memories, this must be the result!

> What makes a party therapeutic to you?

Community is the keyword! I'm a big supporter of parties that can manage to create a strong and loving community around them. I believe that healing within comes with the joy we can offer to others - that can be serving big smiles and moves on the dancefloor, spending hours on preparing a set to guide people through the night, holding space for the ones in need etc.

If I have a feeling I have contributed with something that have made a positive influence for the people around me and vice versa, my therapy session is succeeded!

> How do you make the perfect fruit altar?

The perfect fruit altar for me consists of 3 things - crazy amounts of beautiful fruits, vegetables and sweet snacks, cozy lights, plants and deco to create a warm and welcoming space, and last but not least the little jar with conversation starters! The convos coming out of this have been amazing to witness. The second time I did it at GT, I witnessed two people who met each other this night, draw a question and have a beautiful talk with tears in their eyes while eating bananas. Does it get more wholesome than this? ❤️

Toni Pfad is a Berlin based DJ originally from the depths of Bavaria where she was mainly involved in classical music during her youth. She had first intense contact with electronic music and various techno collectives during her years living in the heart of germany, Thuringia, a place with a distinct techno scene. For 5 years she has been a member and resident of the Jena based collective biotobt which was founded over 12 years ago out of friends and since then has been constantly organizing mainly open air raves as well as indoor parties and participates in various festivals. Over the years she played a number of gigs at events and festivals which led to the constant development and redefinement of her genre-fluid sound with influences from Electro, Breaks, Prog. House, Techno and Trance. 

In this mix she lets harmonies and rhythms flow into each other, creating euphoric but also melancholic moments.

Hosting artists like Jasss, Cem, Answer Code Request, Newa, Koloah, Nicole, Katerina, S.O.N.S and K.O.P 32 as well as local heroes & legends Vanity Productions, Ctrls, Xuri and our own Interflow and Kasper to name a few!

She has been DJing since the age of 16 and has turned her passion into a profession as resident DJ, presenter, label operator and booker for the Berlin label and crew "Aller Ende Anfang". She's also part of the Berlin psytrance party series "Trips". In her sets, Hanna Baertig plays with different rhythms, melodies and contrasts, combining genres such as hard house, breaks, trance and footwork.
