This is the Blue Eyed Christ cover of the Gary Glitter Hit "Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah), also made famous by Joan Jett.  The BEC version is much more true to the Joan Jett version but modernized with big drums, huge guitars, heavy synths, and a dose of noise to give it the Blue Eyed Christ sound

Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah)

The hits keep on coming from the FFS II Synth Jam 2010 - Punish Your Machine sessions which were held on 06/05/10. This piece of audio warfare is titled Stinky Pinky.

Contrary to the tongue-in-cheek (or pinky... ) song title, this is one of more aggressive tracks from the sessions. Matt Norcross' (aka Ttam Troll) programmed noise beat and Dave Chandler's (aka Thee Sub One Genius) staccato arpeggiations provided the rhythmic foundation for M Scott McConnell's (aka MC2P4) droning Alesis Micron synth bass line. With the groove in place, Matt Norcross interfaced with the Korg Z1 to add synth string melodies and dissonance.

At the 8 minute mark, the song starts to slowing fade leaving the listener wantonly yearning for more.

In early Summer 1988, I went to Ocean City, MD with the Ocker family for a fun and relaxing trip.  Late at night, I took the opportunity to stroll along the beach alone.  Sometimes listening to the waves and sometimes listening to my Walkman, it was during these strolls that I first had the idea for writing a song that would sonically capture the sound of a listless ocean along with the power and elegance of the waves as they crashed upon the shore.  This was not a novel idea but for an 18yr kid (excuse me, man) it provided enough stimulus for a creative spark to be ignited.

It took about a year before I fully realized this idea but here I present to you the initial demo version of Floundering In A Sea Of Digital Waves as I recorded it in the Summer of 1989.

Imbued Vagary continues to assimilate new members into its fold and as it does so, it expands the Collective’s musical (and nonmusical) acumen. The sonic experiments on Wheels of Steel highlights such an expansion and showcases the turntablism of Paul Doppelganga. Combined with the electronic soundscapes that Imbued Vagary are known for, an exciting and unique form of electronic music emerges.
