Pétrus Vargas a.k.a. @pv5000 is a well-known figure in Porto Alegre's nightlife, the southernmost state capitol in Brazil. As a trans DJ and producer, PV actively creates space for the LGBTQI+ club community in PoA. 

He knows how to use the track as a dance-floor weapon and has been involved in the nightlife of the city for many years. He has used an open approach to DJing since the early 2010s, and ever since 2015, he has been raising hell on the scene. These days, he mixes House with Breaks, Electro, and Juke in a contemporary manner. His heavy touring, intense mixing style and wide repertoire make him one of the most interesting DJs of PoA's new breed. In 2018 he created @ttt_tt_tt_ttt to increase LGBTQI+ visibility in the scene. His natural blend of activism and hard-hitting club music is what makes us here at Fixed Rhythms so excited about PV5000. 

This mix is comprised entirely of artists from Brazil.

Amazon Prim é DJ nascida em Brasília e que atualmente mora na Itália. Estar longe de casa provocou uma reflexão sobre sua identidade que se materializa através da musica. Os seus mixes são um tecido condutor que possibilita o diálogo entre diferentes ritmos da diáspora negra, fragmentos de cultura pop 2000 e estilhaços de vidro, numa tentativa de remontar aquilo que seria o inteiro antes de ter sido separado do todo.
