Le groupe Diversgens vous présente son nouvel album Chrysalide.
Il aura fallu plusieurs années pour que les 6 MC's sortent leur 4ème opus, un projet abouti abordant des thématiques variés. "L'écriture de Chrysalide a démarré à la fin du covid en 2021, période propice à la réflexion sur notre monde et sur nous même. Depuis, l'actualité n'a cessé de nous confronter à une réalité complexe et en perpétuel changement".

Teinté d'introspection, on y retrouve les valeurs humanistes propre au groupe. Comment se positionner et faire évoluer les mentalités à leur échelle? Tour à tour, les 6 rappeurs manient l'art de la prose, multipliant les angles d'approche, entre métaphore et ironie, dévoilant leurs sensibilités exacerbées...

Côté musical, Chrysalide se veut l'album de la maturité. Portés par leur beatmaker Twani, les 6 compères se sont entourés de guests de qualité. On y retrouve le tromboniste jazz Grégoire Devaux (Ibrahim Maalouf and free spirits ensemble, orchestre national de Douai, etc), la voix suave de la diva soul June et le flow incandescent du rappeur colombien Sector Sanber. Côté arrangements, les scratchs affûtés de DJ Rlass mettent en relief la profondeur des textes. Il en va de même avec le mixage de leur ingénieur du son Djem et des ajouts guitare de Matthieu Charray, qui a réalisé le mastering de l'album.

I've been making mixes my whole life and beats for the last 20 years. Recently I've been doing a lot of remixes and mashups live on the fly during full sets where I've been getting single digit and number one positions on the Mixcloud charts. I love and vibe with all kinds of music especially Oldies and Dance Music of all forms. I mix, master, edit, and archive original music,  bootleg shows, and airchecks for fun, and mix audio and work A/V as a profession.

Production: I started making beats in High School using a Turntable, and Adobe Audition. I didn't really know what I was doing. It was the first multi-track Hi quality digital software I ever used in my life. I didn't have any outboard tools except for a mouse and keyboard. Now everything I'm doing is live in Virtual Dj. The technology has made a quantum leap being able to drop out stems and re-mix them live etc. Not to mention the accurate time-stretching.  Beats range from original Reggae, Roots, EDM, Experimental, and Hip-Hop, Trap, to Mash-Ups to Remixes of other songs. Some on here were recorded in my old Studio usually playing a vinyl with an original beat or Popular Pre-recorded one being mixed live on a Professional Yamaha Mixing Desk to 2-track Reel-to Reel.  I love collecting vinyl and tapes using weird samples and scratches from them in multitrack layers to add another dimension to my instrumentals and mash ups. 
My Full-Length Mixes consist of everything from Classic Rock to Classic and Modern/Underground Hip-Hop & Breakbeats, Trap, Dubstep, House, Disco, Funk, Salsa, Latin, Pop, Psytrance,  Reggae, Metal, Tribal, Dnb/Jungle, 80's Dance, Country/Folk/Rockabilly/Bluegrass, and Punk/Ska.
