Equal is a playground for producers with a love for raw, hypnotic, minimalist techno with a dose of groove.
Just as the core of techno culture still stands for openness, tolerance, acceptance and love - for an equal community.
As a label we want to reflect this with our releases.
Two different artists with the same love for techno meet on an EP for a joint project.
Like a meeting, a conversation. Everybody gives something and everybody gets something back.
Each artist is equally dedicated to the work of the other and together they deliver a unique work.
An EP always contains 4 tracks. Either the two artists contribute one track and remix the other, or both artists contribute 2 tracks, or they produce 4 tracks together.

We are not the same, we are equal!

Immersed in music since his childhood, Babaganouschka is a DJ from Montreal whose musical journey began with the guitar, exploring rock, metal, jazz, and blues. For nearly three years now, he has dived into electronic music, specializing in mental and hypnotic techno. By night, he dedicates himself entirely to his craft as a DJ, steadily making a name for himself in Montreal’s techno scene. He is a member of the Droplets collective and a resident DJ on La Face B radio, where he provides a monthly mix. Passionate about subgenres like acid techno, hard techno, hard groove, and occasionally trance and breakbeat, he crafts unique sets that blend melody and polyrhythm.

Bio:
Back in the early 1990s Duniz first discovered his love of electronic music.

Then, in the early 2000s, he released on the labels of Anthony Rother, Zombie Nation and the Stammheim legend Pierre.

After many more gigs and working in a club, he decided it was time to focus on his family and took some time off.

Now, as a solo artist, Duniz is focusing all his energy on his love of raw, hypnotic techno.
Together with Nadine Fehn and Marcel Huldt, he runs the Klangtrauma label.
In January 2025, he founded his new label Equal.
