I make fantasy guitar adventures to be soundtracks for my son and I to 
imagen missions with his action figures. I try to establish themes in the riffage as characters and plot development. I love exploring new harmonic and rhythmic territory and try to write music that amps up our excitement.

LYRICS

Chronos and Kairos sit at the seaside smoking twigs and slinging stones
The ocean roams and rolls and drones and spews blue plumes of blooming foam
And sings a keening song in heaving long and ringing tones
The young and old with endless beach to comb
 
The friends enjoy the ends of two sweet smokes
Drinking deep the final toke the elder breaking silence spoke
“If time is money how am I yet broke?
My home foreclosed, my life a joke
 
My bones are worn
The summer sun no longer warm
The winter doldrums so forlorn
When snow turns trees to ghostly forms
And you my child
Still bask in fleeting Youth’s sweet smile
Enjoy her wiles
But learn the lessons of this toothless smile”
 
Kairos’ iris burns with youthful joy
A useful boy unusually employed
To sweep the sands back towards the saline void
Whose ceaselessness allows him to avoid the death which age uncoils
An angel made to never be destroyed
And so unspoiled he replies
 
“My elder wise
The fear of death weighs down your eyes
Yet you can prophesy and recognize the life divine while I
Forever child
No memory may I compile
Before the tide will steal it back to drown beneath the whitecaps wild”
 
The incandescent sunset burns the sea
They presently elect to learn what one another see
To journey through their dual realities
And make a final pilgrimage across the shrinking beach
So Chronos might hold court to tender Youth
And Kairos know the memories that dwell beneath the ocean’s roof
 
A union in which mutual truth is loosed
To share what each in life was called to do
 
The vision breaks as nightfall harkens death
A shortness seizes Chronos’ breath and sharp as swords cuts down his legs
And as he falls to seamade bed he blesses his companion’s head
“A greater gift no man can have than friends
I go in peace to meet my end
 
I turn to dust
The grains of sand, the flakes of rust
The warm remembrance of a trust between two friends long since grown up
So cherish all
That you’ve been giving as your calling
Climb the seawall
Watch my pieces fall
Back into bare belonging.”
