Danny spent his formative years in the 1990s listening to hip-hop, UK and US garage, soul, rare groove and jazz-funk, but nothing captured his imagination quite like the music of Todd Edwards.

Inspired by Todd’s unique brand of cut-up sample house, Danny started dabbling in music production on a lo-fi setup at university in the late 90s. Fast forward a decade, and after belatedly posting those tracks on SoundCloud they started causing a buzz among parts of the UK Garage community – including Karl ‘Tuff Enuff’ Brown of Tuff Jam.

Spurred by the attention, Danny invested in new setup and started making tracks again – the result was ‘Thinking Of The Day’.

Danny’s breakthrough came in 2011 with his remix of ‘Tell Me (If You Really Want Me)’ by DJ Para feat Robbie Craig for Scott Garcia’s Kronik Music, which attracted attention from UK Garage tastemakers such as DJ EZ.

In 2012 Danny’s ‘Disco Lights’ remix of ‘Turn The Lights Down’ by Scott Diaz on his Connect:d imprint received love from DJs across the globe – including a certain Grant Nelson – which was followed later in the year by Danny’s first EP (Feel The Vibe EP) also on Connect:d, including the tracks ‘Feel The Spirit’, ‘Feeling Love’ and a remix of ‘Feel The Spirit’ by Husky of Random Soul Recordings.

2013 saw Danny’s single ‘Free’ released on US imprint Dingbat Records (DING006), featuring remixes by RiCHARD.GEAR and Ian Bortolotti, as well as the cut ‘I Wanna Fly’. After closing out the year with three releases on Riddler Records, 2014 saw the release of ‘The Voice EP’ on Karl ‘Tuff Enuff’ Brown’s 2TUF4U label.

Danny has also produced remixes of Frenzy’s ‘Wandering Eye’, 8th Note’s ‘Cry For No-One’ and ‘Crazy’ by Leanne Louise for 42TF Recordings, plus remixes of Maydie Myles’ ‘You Got Me Forever’, Beat Rivals’ ‘(Gotta Be) Free’, Chunky Jackson’s ‘What You Do To Me’ and Fully Loaded Project’s ‘Roll With It’ for 2TUF4U Records. 

In 2016 Danny released his debut album, Mosaic Music Volume One, which gained support from Gilles Peterson, DJ Q and Shacho from Soil & "Pimp" Sessions.

2019 saw Danny’s remix of ‘Stranger’ for Kindred Soul get a release on Pogo House Records and receive radio play from Todd Edwards himself, bringing Danny’s musical journey full circle.

In January 2022, Danny made his debut on Marc Cotterell's Plastik People label with the vinyl release of the disco sample cuts 'Summer Heatwave' and 'Give Me Your Love'.

Ex Club Dj Karl "Tuff Enuff" Brown formally of Tuff Jam, artiste, music producer/remixer and occasional radio presenter with over 28 years experience in the industry. Growing up in Hackney, East London and leaving school at 16 with a few GCSE’s, his subsequent career has been self-taught and driven by an interest in electronics and a love for music.

As a member of pop group and remixing team “Double Trouble” in the 1980’s, he appeared in music videos and on Top Of The Pops many times; he also toured Europe to promote their hit singles "Street Tuff" & "Just Keep Rockin".

Karl’s partnership with Matt “Jam” Lamont as TUFF JAM in the 1990’s is widely recognised as being instrumental in creating the music genre “UK Garage” with numerous music releases and remixes including tracks by Usher, Coolio, Tina Moore, Boys II Men and En Vogue just to name just a few, they even had their own record label UVM Records and a peak-time radio show on the world renowned Kiss Fm.

Karl’s own solo career, which ran alongside the TUFF JAM project, led to a radio show on Choice Fm, DJ appearances all over the world and awards such as “Best DJ” awarded by Pete Waterman and Eddie Gordon and UKG “Best DJ” voted for by those in the industry. He has been featured in DJ Magazine’s Top 100 World DJ’s and in Select Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People. He has also been asked to demonstrate mixing equipment for Vestax and Pioneer at trade exhibitions. Karl appeared regularly at Ministry Of Sound nightclub during this time as a resident, playing his tracks to thousands of clubbers through its renowned sound system. The club was immortalised on one of his record releases “History Of House”, recognising its great influence on the UK clubbing scene.

Having been booked consistently in nightclubs since the 1990’s, June 2002 saw Karl take a step away from that side of the business to focus on recording, running his own record label 2TUF-4U records, and nurturing other up-and-coming talent, including DJ and production tutoring. Karl tutors music production skills and songwriting on a One-2-One basis in his own studio with people who are wishing to start a career in the industry and has released some student collaborations on his record label via Groove Skool. Karl has also tutored in DJ skills, both privately and at colleges/Uni's, from the 1980’s to the present. He has presented a lecture at the Inner City Music Event in Manchester - The ACM in Guilford and judging DJ competitions on several occasions and also DJ courses at the Ministry Of Sound's DJ Academy.
