Greetings from Lithuania! Mr. Bojarchük from Vilnius joins Quixotical Records with a debut release, and already surprisingly stunning EP "Disco Quarantino". Two original tracks and three remixes, to keep the company (keeping the distance as well), come from very unique artists - Mmyylo, Geerra, Della.

Originally 24 years old medicine student, but a deep music lover Bojarchük starts the release with the title track "Disco Quarantino". Italo and dark disco sounds are mixed in one. Perfectly represents feelings during quarantine and eagerness to go disco and lose your head. Intense and addicting track with very playful bass and fxs that grooves the track.

"Keep The Distance" is the second original track. The title already tells what is about. Continuing topic about quarantine "Keep The Distance" strictly gives the recommendations. The track is fully occupied by fx sounds, sharp lead synths, and floating filtered bass. While listening to this track is really hard to imagine keeping the distance on the dance floor.

The first to remix is french Electronic Beats Cooker - MMYYLO. He turn's "Disco Quarantino" track into a very deep and dark disco-style interpretation. Riding bass, atmospheric pads that are being changed by modulated leading effects.

Alvaro Guera - GEERRA, DJ, producer, guitarist, and singer has chosen "Disco Quarantino" to remix too. He strengthens Italo disco sounding, adds some vitamines, and highlights the strongest parts of the original track.

The third remix comes from Argentina composer, musical producer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist performer DELLA. He turns "Keep The Distance" into a techno vibe track. The toughest and fastest track in this release. Perfectly composed and perfectly reflective of the dark side of quarantine. Absolutely banger for techno lovers.

There are some characters and labels so intertwined with the story of specific music genres that is virtually impossible to discuss them without mentioning the importance and relevance of such masterminds and imprints. Take the so-called Indie Dance/Dark Disco scene for instance. We dare you to talk about it without bringing up Sir Neil Parnell aka Tronik Youth (SXDNS050) and his mighty platform NEIN Records during your music talks.

With a behemoth of a catalogue overflowing with dark cuts, NEIN is undoubtedly one of the most vital outlets in the dark side of music. Neil is equally impressive, distilling his creativity with a plethora of originals and collaborations throughout his career of twenty-something years. Having a NEIN-only year so far, he brings to life his third EP of the year and invited Fred Berthet and Calystarr for the remix duties. Premiered here, the latter’s contribution.

Adrián Peña Sánchez aka Calystarr is a DJ and producer from Chiclana de la Frontera, Cádiz. For his third appearance on NEIN, his mission of providing an interpretation for the big boss must have been a tough one – but nothing that would make the skilled Spanish virtuoso have cold feet. His complex and stark version brings together a few of his main influences, resulting in an intricate concoction of Cold Wave, EBM, and Industrial with a kind of spooky aura.

Here is the new one by the talentutous Scottish-born Thai artist : Keep Me In The Light. Renowned for the quality of his incredible edits on the web, he drops here an epic and dancefloor release.
“Rapid Bass Groover” is an efficient melodic track.

Carried by a mastered rhythm, the melodic arpeggio reinforced by the twirling pads make positive thoughts soar on the dancefloor. It’s time for unity in these dark times ;). Only Love must remain.
The second original track “Neon Nights”, quieter, is always filled with good feelings. The main melody is incredibly accompanied by sumptuous, haunting andsoft pads, leads. In the break time, the piano gives to the track a little and local House touch.
Then, when the tracks drop, arms rise and we dance while dreaming.

Our swiss army knife Brandski is back with a fast and powerful italotrance remix of the eponym track. It grooves, it’s energetic, the steps follow one another and we let ourselves go...
Happy to have again with us Aural Trace, for a pure body remix this time.

He mainly focused on the melodic arpeggio and pads of the original to bring a more italo and acid touch. The remix grabs the listener’s guts!

The boss of the new imprint “Rewind It” gives to “Neon Nights” a magical disco-house touch. Really positive, it seems that the sun is always in our hearts listening to this tittle.

FEINSTOFF PREMIERE: Keep Me In The Light - Neon Nights (Agle Remix)

The rising & shining Andalucía-based label Burning Synths has been having a busy end of the year so far. Since November, Jakob Mäder (SXDNS418) & Frederik Neu, Irregular Disco Workers, and Roglar & Neburo landed on its growing catalogue that will soon have the addition of master Adrián Peña Sánchez aka Calystarr. And he will not come alone: Astore and TDWS are back on the Spanish outlet this time as remixers with solid interpretations of “Connections”, Caly’s brand-new outie.

Talking about being busy, Adrián’s 2024 was (has been?) quite prolific with well-received appearances on NEIN, Emerald & Doreen, Club Mackan, Astrolead, Golden Soul, and Melomana, having established himself as one of the most interesting acts amid the so-called Indie Dance/Dark Disco scene.

For his debut on Burning Synths, Calystarr followed his very own formula (bringing together retro-infused references embedded in modern settings) and came up with a proper dance floor pleaser. “Connections” delivers playfulness with psychedelia by combining frolicsome percussive elements with deeply atmospheric pads. Kudos!
