it's very nice.  improves the duo and brings some shades of Celtic music somehow. I really enjoyed.

As usual, there is an abundance of fantastic pieces to collaborate with. I finally decided on Aaron Hofman's work, because there was something about its slightly off kilter ambience that seemed to suit the later spring rain that is settling in for a few days. I added just a bit of gritty drone, augmented with a bit of reverb to further set the mood.

Based on a piano performance by @leonclowes, I played an OB-E (thanks, Tom Oberheim & @gforce-software) over Leon’s piano. I was going for a streamlined version of something quiet by Ravel — a kind of synthetic tone poem. Both the piano and strings are fake, but hopefully there’s still room to build.

Disquiet Junto Project 0698: Second Third
The Assignment: Record the second third of a trio.

There were many pieces I liked a lot from part 1 and I tried out a couple of combinations. 
I settled on the track by Samplair: https://soundcloud.com/user-248104983/disquiet0697. 

I combined this with a recording of some ‘extended technique’ zither. 
The extended technique being that the zither is excited using a fast rotating disc with a magnet attached to it. Depending on the frequency with which the magnet rotates (compared to the resonant frequencies of each string), it can force oscillations in one or more strings. The sound this produces is quite rich and complex with lots of movement.

Interestingly, the combination of these sounds, which can at times be quite harsh and distorted, with Samplair’s ‘nightmare carnival’ made for a track that I found… rather soothing.

Hard to decide since there were so many cool tracks. Selected “B Drone” by @morgulbee / @alanblip for my first contribution. Hoping to work with another track before the Monday deadline. Starting with the beat created by Lee Evans in the first part, I added waves of white noise sweeps, the type you might hear at the beach in an 8-bit video game, and a droning bass note.
