Dhouran’s first full-length LP, The Myth of Tarae, is typically epic in its breadth and narrative, effortlessly melding the combination of electronic, instrumental and cinematic styles for which he has become known. In keeping with the cinematographic thrust of the work, it is accompanied by a short film which matches the music in its scope and ambition.
The film, which scores the album’s powerful title track, is a project overseen by Dhouran with the aim of raising awareness of the current plight of the environment. Both music and film share an apocalyptic, haunting but ultimately uplifting quality.
True to Chapter 24’s ‘stories in sound’ ethos, the ten-track LP is fuelled by a desire to take listeners on a journey. Opener This Is Us sets the tone, offering atmospheric electronica, acoustic guitar and live drums, before the moody synthesis ofValhalla Risingpicks up the pace into early standout Amenestra, featuring Etienne Girardin.
Inception channels Radiohead’s ‘Paranoid Android’ as haunting, psychedelic Spanish guitars are balanced with warm synth lines which tread the line between melancholy and optimism. Isle of Arava and Praetorius both continue the album’s motif of flute instrumentation, while the epic A Kind of Light is a mythical voyage in its own right.
The album closes with the more driving Lost in Charcot and the outstanding title track featuring the transportive vocals of London-based singer Ed Begley. Odyssey provides a dramatic finishing note, a summation of the atmosphere and emotion riven throughout the piece.
All told, this is a combined album and film release that should fire the imagination of listeners and viewers, and marks the continued rise of the talented Anton Dhouran.
Both LP and short film for The Myth of Tarae will be released in early December on Chapter 24. A remixes album is forthcoming in 2018.

Tribute to one of the most talented composers of our generation. He composed soundtracks, the theory of everything, arrival, the mercy, sicario, and other amazing albums of his own.
Unfortunately, he passed away at the age of 48, He was one of my biggest inspiration.
I did this edit for my set intros when the movie came out in 2016

It is interesting how this beautiful composition by Clint Mansell fitted so well into Black Mirror show, to be precise - San Junipero - Season 3 Episode 4. Watching this episode woke up pretty nostalgic emotions in me, if we took that i was only 1 year old back in 1987, but when i was 6-7 ive listened old records from my parents with similar soundtracks. You know that oldskool cassio sounds, retro wave. Scene was infected by synthesis. And it evolved and transformed. Today we have various genres of electronic dance music, but i will always be dedicated and bounded to melodies and emotions.

This edit i did is from the heart. I didn't wanted to work on the groove so much cause i wanted to stay calm and follow the symphony of pads, strings and synths.

Gregory's original track was prominently featured in the 2018 Netflix original series "The Rain". This feature propelled Gregory's music to new heights and a greater international following. His evocative pop sounds are perfectly suited for a deep and house influenced remix. We Koalas are thrilled to have an exclusive remix of Alibis from two of our labels best.


This remix begins with a bright and hypnotizing piano melody immediately showcasing the spirit of the original track. Snappy percussion hits meld with swinging drum patterns to seep the track in groove. Lower atmospheric synths and a rumbling bassline flow in and out while strings accent the mix. The original vocals haunt the track with a smooth and airy texture as things gradually move to a satisfying crescendo.


Wilson Costa & Tyler Schauman combine their individual strengths to create a deep and moody remix sure to please listeners and dancefloors across the world. We here at Silent Koalas are very happy to showcase this excellent collaboration with you.
