Cormorants and blossoms of the evening [naviarhaiku 539]

Not feel 

Wake outside of myself 
Make my way to my cigarette 
Sunrise over the swamp
I can smell the air, you there 
This sun ive already felt
The breeze is rest from my lonely self
Everything I see just breathes, through me for free 

And now the crows have left
Nothing here but the silent mess
Thunder boom from the south is walking through, from you
Reflections starting to fade
Suns gone away to another day 
Shadows seep from the drains that flow beneathe, the streets

Black blades of grass stingin through 
The moon says it’s sorry for what ive been through 
The earth keeps on spinning through passing of storms, it forms  
The tears have all have dried now for years 
Rowing down this puddle I cry to hear 
The sun screaming up from the roots of the earth..it’s birth 

Why can I not feel for a day 
Why can I not surrender to its grace 
Why can I not tell you what’s in my mind 
Why can I not breathe before I die 

Give me your heart, lace it with fear
End these black days. Ends these dark years 


Tell me I’m right, tell me I’m fine
I feel all I know, and it becomes mine 

Im ceasing to know, the person I am 
All I feel is you, all of you I am





Regular lyrics was surrender to its grace, but I’m clearly singing his grace. And struggle with faith, so I am guessing that’s suppose to be

I've become addicted to drone. Again. I was the kid with his head on the piano, listening to the overtones die away, or pressing his ear to the steel hull of the ferry, enthralled by the sounds it created. I was the kid who formed wordless songs to accompany the sound of train wheels on a long journey, or hummed along with the fan on a hot day.

In the 60s I used to play my 45s on 16, or backwards, or by hand using razor blades as stylii.

I made cut-up tapes on a cheap cassette recorder in the 70s and experimented with reel-to-reel in the 80s.

I am not a musician. I am a scavenger of sounds. I use the most basic software to process those sounds, stretching and filtering until something emerges that makes a joyful noise. Or not...
