For the seventh EP on his personal Midnight Themes imprint, Marlon Hoffstadt reveals 'Ready For Take Hoff' - a winning five-track release that perfectly sums up everything you can expect from the artist's gregarious DJ sets.

With a sound that, according to Hoffstadt, sits "somewhere in between techno, disco, trance and proto-house", the Berlin-based DJ-producer has handed over the final cut on the release 'Der Hoffmaster' - a skyrocketing tune that thrusts onto the dancefloor with a scintillating, peak-time quality.

Meanwhile, “Blow” and “I’m Gonna Get” feature big vocal samples repurposed from @Viers’ “deep dive” into the history of jungle music. If you enjoy this release, please do us a favor and never use the term “deep dive” again. Just say you’ve been “bonin’ up” or something.

Next up on burgeoning Brighton label Elation Industries comes an exuberant reinterpretation of Mr Sosa’s “Zealous” from Irish DJ/producer Richie Blacker, named by Danny Howard earlier this month as one of his hotly tipped ‘Future Fire’ artists for 2021.
First premiered on BBC Radio 1, the Belfast beatmaker’s ‘Peel Me Off The Ceiling’ remix of “Zealous” makes use of vibrant piano chords, shimmering hi-hats, pulsating basslines and four-to-the-floor kicks, converting the track into a thumping, club-ready slice of heady house bliss while retaining plenty of the original elements introduced by Bournemouth youngster Mr Sosa.
With glowing endorsements from heavyweights of the scene including Skream, Sasha and Above & Beyond already under his belt, Richie looks set to have an exceptional year, as does Mr Sosa, who too has been championed by deep house stalwarts Anjunadeep. Elation Industries, meanwhile, have gone from strength to strength, with recent releases getting picked up by key institutions in the scene including Houseum and Dream Chimney.

Turbo Recordings was founded by Tiga in Montreal back in 1998. In addition to launching his own career, the label has been integral in the success of acts like Chromeo, Gesaffelstein, Duke Dumont and most recently, ANNA & Charlotte de Witte. Core talent includes ZZT (Tiga's collaboration with Zombie Nation), Jori Hulkkonen, BETON, Clouds, Harvard Bass, Pilo, Shaded, Dimitri Veimar and a host of new young producers in genres ranging from pure techno, electro, and house to pop. The list of artists who have released music on the label is a veritable 'who's who' of top-level talent spanning a broad musical range, and this, along with a commitment to beautiful design, has earned the label respect in the industry and a cult following among fans. 

“We started out singing into plastic bags and shipping them to stores as quickly as possible. Later, we discovered that vinyl sounds way better when delivered by kayak. I learned so much the first few years…Now, as I look towards the future, I can envision music for poor people, sonic odors for the hearing impaired, even MP3s for women....Vroom, sucka!” says Tiga, the lyrical lampsman lighting the way down Dance Avenue.
