Italo Moderni proudly welcomes CLOSE PROXIMITY, the London-based duo, for their debut EP on the label a bold and genre-blurring release that cuts through with precision.

The four-track EP is a heady blend of ‘90s progressive influences, New beat grit, and forward-thinking techno.

Opening with Internal Vision, CLOSE PROXIMITY sets the tone: a driving, electrified cut that channels their core influences into a tense groove. It’s a statement track —urgent, layered, and unmistakably theirs.

Eclipse follows, leaning into a Belgian electro aesthetic with a rolling, chugged-out rhythm that simmers with dark energy.

The third track Euphoria Inside a shadowy trip that dives deeper into the duo’s moodier instincts, revealing their flair for a darker atmosphere.

Closing the EP is Project Realities, a track with deep spacey pads and a utopian vibe giving this final cut an expansive touch — all while keeping that signature chug intact.

PREMIERE: Close Proximity - Euphoria Inside (Italo Moderni)

Dynamic Records was born as a container for Dynamic Stasis, music producer, drummer and live act strongly devoted to live performances.

The EP is a four track album, all of which took shape on Dynamic Stasis live sets, starting out as simple sequences, then evolving into refined tracks.

In the production process there was only one rule: performing the tracks and recording them, trying to capture the unique unfolding of the moment and imprinting the analog feeling of the human intervention. 

It is a Techno release, in the sense that the tracks, each one carrying its diversity and its own palette of inspirations, can be seen as a personal interpretation of Techno Music.

So, sequences are the link that holds this EP together: sequences like small and interconnected segments that make up a song, or sequences like structured, regular and intelligible patterns that made out the plot used as the foundation of the artwork

When you love a record too damn much, you will soon discover whether you "got what it takes” to make it yours. Such is the case withTurbo label head Tiga, who has played 11Schnull & Newinfluenzer’s 2023 underground hit “Ich und meine Ubahn” in each and every one of his DJ sets since its non-Turbo release. But unbridled track-passion is not always enough, and sometimes one must take a step back and recognize that the music business is also a business. So our in-house Corporate Development team, which has of late been entirely focused* on figuring out how best to monetize Tintin entering the public domain, set to work, successfully licensing the original while also creating the fun and potentially life-saving opportunity to visualize just how amicable the licensing process was.

All of which brings us to the remix pack at hand. The essentially perfect electro programming and vocal performance of the 2023 original leaves virtually no angle for improvement, save for the fact that the 4:20 runtime not enough for the median touring DJ to satisfy their chatbot mistress before they must begin the exacting work of selecting and mixing the next track. As such, we enlisted producers who could interpret the song from different planes of existence, namely Chilean-German wizard Matias Aguayo, French hardstyle prodigy Krarmpf, German aesthetes Extrawelt, Hamburg electro master DJ MELL G, and Asturian highbrow god Architectural. For reference, the planes conjured by these remixes are as follows: blacked out on Ivermectin; finally beat a pay-to-win mindfulness game; voted the Greatest Living Teen Artist by the readers of US Weekly; transformed into an expressionless little muscleman as if by magic; going viral; and curing jet lag in our lifetime. It is not for us to say which remix corresponds to which realm of human experience, but we do know that it is limited to those options.

Finally, please do not invite a chatbot lover into your marriage. Your spouse cannot hope to compete. And know that this advice comes from our best understanding of current world affairs, and does not represent what a repressed British man would calling “taking the pee.” At their very best, jokes are funny, and the fate of the human bedroom is no laughing matter at all.

Dischi presents Eyes Need Sugar by Eliott Litrowski. Schooled to the sound of Parisian institutions Le Pulp, Batofar and Rex Club, first as an attendee, and then behind the decks, this DJ and producer has crafted a vibrant and unique sonic signature. His sound is an effervescing meshwork of Italo-Disco romantics, kosmische-informed electro, breaksy progs and EBM-tinged rhythmic outbursts. "Highway to Holler" is a dancefloor anthem, setting the tone with its fun and energetic atmosphere that harmoniously blends driving electro rhythms, uplifting synths, and rolling bass. “Bright Lights, Big City” follows, with a 707-powered Chicago house beat, a groovy bassline, playful acid accents, and hypnotic deep pads. “Eyes Need Sugar,” led by a heavy bass, displays a melodic array of bright trance synth layers, shaped by percussive yet playful drums and breaks. Core talent includes ZZT (Tiga's collaboration with Zombie Nation), Jori Hulkkonen, BETON, Clouds, Harvard Bass, Pilo, Shaded, Dimitri Veimar and a host of new young producers in genres ranging from pure techno, electro, and house to pop. The list of artists who have released music on the label is a veritable 'who's who' of top-level talent spanning a broad musical range, and this, along with a commitment to beautiful design, has earned the label respect in the industry and a cult following among fans. 

“We started out singing into plastic bags and shipping them to stores as quickly as possible. Later, we discovered that vinyl sounds way better when delivered by kayak. I learned so much the first few years…Now, as I look towards the future, I can envision music for poor people, sonic odors for the hearing impaired, even MP3s for women....Vroom, sucka!” says Tiga, the lyrical lampsman lighting the way down Dance Avenue.
