No stranger to Phobiq, Kalden Bess unleashes 4 tracks of unfathomable inspiration in a style that is truly his own.

Starting out with the title track, the steamrolling rhythm section propels sinister synths and fuzzed-out riffs to the manic edge while soulful vocals become the perfect balancing contrast. "Awkward" continues in the same vein with more vocals of the haunting kind, eerie notes and a mysterious vibe throughout.

"Studio 54" completely flips the script and stomps wildly, relying solely on the power of the drums and the cleverly sparse arrangement. The EP closes with "OG", where things get more hypnotic, the snares are crackling and the basslines are grinding.

Hungarian fella living in Berlin, Mate Tollner is no new name to us as he already released his single "Sparkling Sharks" featuring Odett Polgar with pretty good attention around.
Now he is back with another single called "Found" a very specific technoish feeling with heavy punch and a riding synth sounds that definitely reserves its place only at the coolest underground parties.

But we didn't left the original being only a single at this time, so we invited our Montpellier based French friend Citizen Kain to take care on a remix for us and he did, with a great reconstruction and a groovy line keeping sound, will definitely make this track part of many great underground set's around ! Enjoy !

Launched in the depths of winter, Scotty.A and his "Expressions of the Soul" lit up dark nights with the UK producer's compelling blend of warm analogue melodies and driving house beats. Returning now for a second outing, both tracks make a second appearance courtesy of a pair of remixes from Dutch masters and Israeli flare. 

Paul Hazendonk is a man of inimitable style and talent. Head of the world renowned Manual Music, the steam of stars to pass through the imprint require a veritable parting of the Red Sea as Henry Saiz, Guy J and Hernan Cattaneo have all produced music for a label that has seen global support. A prodigious talent from an early age, a keen interest in the dance music world soon led to gigs in his Rotterdam hometown followed by numerous international festival appearances and residencies at Las Palmas and Asta. A production career that has seen the likes of Hope, Black Hole and Sudbeat host the Hazendonk name, ably demonstrates an abundance of production talent often seen in collaborative synchronicity with fellow Dutchman, Noraj Cue. A musical upbringing saw Cue rise from playing household implements in his youth to the natural evolution of an accomplished producer with a plethora of high-profile releases to his name for Hazendonk's Manual Music as well as FutureForm, Blendwerk and Lowbit. 

Together, the duo's "Emergence" EP in the autumn of 2013 marked a watershed, as did a sublime remix of Silinder's "Pavement" in the spring of that year. Returning now for a second rework, Hazendonk and Cue's remix of "Soul Blossom" cleverly echoes the themes of Scotty.A's original while developing a delightful divergent characteristic. Bass line melody and delayed plucks create an effervescence that drifts on sumptuous strings and strong house beat that delivers expert house rhythm to mesmerising effect.

Israeli, Lonya, is a man at the epicentre of his country's dance scene that has further blossomed into international success at the upper echelons of underground house music. An accomplished DJ who not only performs across the Tel Aviv capital, but who is also resident at the world-famous The Cat and The Dog club, Lonya's name is well recognised in his home country and across international boarders. Founder of the Asymmetric Recordings imprint in 2006, the label has become a byword for excellence that has seen a diverse and eclectic collection of music pass through its doors, furthering the house genre. As a producer himself, the Lonya name has been attached to such luminary imprints as Parquet, Flow Vinyl and Tulipa while a clutch of releases have found their way onto Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat including March 2014's collaboration with countryman Guy Mantzur as the duo remixed Cattaneo and Sound Exile.

Following a remix of DNYO's "Escape To Bossa Nova" for Proton Music in April, Lonya's remix of Scotty.A creates a wonderfully innovative interpretation of "The Way She Smiles". Ideas inherent in the original resonate against a backdrop of tight house beats as richly textured pads and spacious white noise effects drift enticingly in conjunction with a distinctive lead line. A running bass line creates energy and tension to create a unique remix that keeps Lonya at the underground cutting edge.

Projecting light from within, Paul Hazendonk, Noraj Cue and Lonya have shown an enlightened path to Scotty.A and his "Expressions of the Soul".

A true product of Toronto's thrillingly cosmopolitan Grooving Pot, this Chinese-Italian duo offers much more than a staggering blow to the face of casual racism, crafting highly effective acid tracks with just a hint of banger.

Bordello has served as Turbo's in-house intern for the past year, managing such vital tasks such as buying Tiga's bagels, toasting Tiga's bagels, and offering a youthful take on bagels to a bunch of jaded crabs. Gingy, by all accounts, is a really nice guy.

They initially caught the attention of racists and non-racists alike with their first EP, 'Vaporizer,' on This Is Music, before catching the ear of some big names with THESE tracks, with Brodinski championing 'Body Acid' and forcing Turbo’s A&R Vibetrust to pay their respects to the kid with a foot in the door and a finger on the Ontarian Pulse. 

If you aren't sold on the Ontario-buzz, or the Cinternderella story, then maybe you'll pay attention to two awesome remixes by the bombest Bulgarian, Kink. The 'Deep' mix is a lush, throbbing body-rub, and the 'Acid' version is a highlight-reel of peak time mayhem, already caned and charted by Erol Alkan and Tiga.

If nothing else, “Body Acid” is a vital reminder that acid goes into your body. That’s just the way it works.

Let’s face it, Israel gets a bad rap. But now that they have salvaged England’s dreams for Euro 2008, we at Turbo felt it was time to jump on the bandwagon.

In Israel, when a boy turns 12, he has to join the military. This is called a Bar Mitzvah, and it is the first step in the grooming process that ultimately allows young Jewish men to control the global economy through an invisible banking empire. But for young Chaim (aka DJ H, aka Silent C, aka Chaimpion Of The Universe) destiny dealt a different set of lush, prog, melodic cards. I must confess, my only real experience with Israelies is on the beaches of Goa, where their reputation is dubious at best: dragon-stick juggling, hard-partying stoners, with cosmic space-trance pants, and post-military abandon. Nothing quite like a bad-tripping AND Mossad-trained 19 year old naked on a motorbike. But over the past few years even the most hardened euro-centric techno snob has been forced to acknowledge the rise of Israel as a purveyor of serious techno... and Chaim and Guy J are two of the leaders of this new school.

I normally do everything I can to avoid talking about the music (just seems so 94) , but in this case, I’ll indulge: the Isreality EP features three tracks of modern, serious, melodic trance-dance. Let me remind you we are NOT talking trance as in the genre, but trance as the verb...  If you are
human, you WILL trance. It is simple, Chaim, working in his countryside lab outside Tel Aviv, has developed the formula... A formula that has made him a star on Cocoon, Dogtown, Supplemental Facts and GoldenBalls Disks.

First off is the politically charged “Don’t Panic”... A message of intent that political leaders would be wise to heed, and a possible response to last years “Panic” ep by his arch-nemesis Vhaim (also pronounced Haim), leader of the so called Negev House Mafia. Don’t panic, ironically causes... PANIC on the dancefloor. Good panic, some even say Groove-Panic. The only panic we are concerned with, however,  is the panic you feel as you fumble for your credit card and wonder if beatport will run out of copies. Panic. Did I mention panic?

Rue De Charlotte, named after some street, is a 7.00 epic builder that builds into an epic.
But “don’t panic”, cuz on the b-side, Guy J. (Real name Brett Simpson), not to be outdone drops “SKIN”, a lush, nu-school trance workout that is fantastic and great.
Turbo is proud of these dance-songs.

Ultimately, Turbo is not a political entity, and we have no agenda... I feel we proved that with 2005’s Hamacid 303 EP, and the deleted 1996 techstep explosion of Syria Killa feat MC Da’ Mass Kuss. This EP is not about Israel, or the Middle East, it is simply about new artists, gorgeous techno music, new directions in global dance culture, and the fact that we assume you are not an anti-semite.

As hard as it might be to believe, there was a time when the word TRANCE did NOT mean Dutch guys dressed in white wearing Oakleys..... it also didn't mean Israeli post-military dragon-stick wielding reefer addicts...... actually, there was a glorious era where trance was a VERB rather than a NOUN....... i'm talking about when you GOT in a trance, at lets say for example: the Golden Eagle in Munich in 81, in a white-tiled sauna-motif discotec, grooving to a 17 minute reel-to reel version of Knights in White satin on your 2nd bottle of poppers while some guy named "Wolfie" takes his modern ballet skills to the "next level".

If that sounds appealing....and I know it does.....then allow me to introduce you to Compuphonic and Kolombo....a throwback to the days of Romance-Trance of the highest order. Deep, sensual (yes, i used the word SENSUAL) electronic grooves so potent that we were forced by a coalition of competitors' labels to ONLY release some of them digitally to restrict their awesome power to trip people out. These tracks make other tracks seem like mindless shallow shit. That includes some of Turbo’s other releases.

Open your mind. Embrace the fact that we all yearn to dance into the fire matrix of eternal love, with our joints firmly linked to space-wires controlled by the master puppeteer of chakra consciousness...... the Mirror-Man, your reflected soul, and bask in the knowledge that only the mind is porous enough to absorb all Light-Grooves, becoming the Mind-Vacuum.

Phantasy is proud to release a one-off double A side 12” from The Chemical Brothers’ Tom Rowlands.

‘Through Me’ is an all-cylinders, propulsive elasticated house track while ‘Nothing But Pleasure’ is eight-plus minutes of unstoppable Metallic KO disco. Both tracks reiterate the point that Tom is unarguably one of the greatest producers of club music around.

The 12” vinyl will be in the shops within the next couple of weeks; the download will follow a few weeks afterwards.

Tom Rowlands: “These are tracks that were made to DJ with. I gave them to Erol to road test; he loved them so it seemed a perfect fit for Phantasy – I love what he does with the label. The Chemical Brothers haven’t any plans to release new music this year – we’re soon to start work on a new record – so this 12” seemed an exciting way to get music into clubs now.”
