Depuis sa sortie du conservatoire en 1993, où il a été diplômé en flûte traversière,on peut dire qu’il s’en est écoulé du temps pour le dijonnais John Lord Fonda (Cyril Thevénard de son vrai nom ndlr), ancien membre du célèbre label de Vitalic, Citizen Records. Et c’est donc avec un immense honneur que Boxon Records l’accueille au sein de son équipe talentueuse pour produire son tout nouvel EP « Ondes ».
Salué par la critique à de nombreuses reprises – par des institutions telles que TRAX, Libération ou les Inrockuptibles – l’ovni John Lord Fonda – a déjà à son actif plusieurs trophées tels que : son EP,« Voltage » (2004) et trois albums – « Debaser » (2005),« Composite » (2009) et « Supersonique » (2011).

Il est aujourd’hui reconnu par le milieu pointu de l’électro comme étant une personnalité surprenante, qui se réinvente en permanence sur scène, en sublimant des styles radicalement différents comme le classique, le hip-hop et la trance avec cohérence et distinction.
Il revient cette fois avec « Ondes », un Ep qui comprend quatre nouveaux titres – « Ondes », « Stick It In », « Lawnmover Man », « Fireworks » – et deux remix. Avec une musique empreinte jusqu’ici d’une influence largement new wave et psychédélique – il citera volontiers Depeche Mode,Pink Floyd, Tangerine Dream et Jean-Michel Jarre – l’artiste prend un tournant avec son nouvel Ep aux couleurs très dark house/dark tech. Un son glacial et minimal, souligné par des synthés lancinants et déchirants, qui n’est d’ailleurs pas sans rappeler la bande son du film Requiem for a Dream – notamment à travers le refrain de l’entêtant « Fireworks ».

Tronic has a 20-30 year long history with releasing melodic house and techno. While we opted for the more raw sound in the past few years, Christian wanted to go back to his roots and produce more emotive, groovy, and melodic house and techno again. Lamour Toujours is a progressive groover that has a disco-influenced bassline and adds an emotive chord progression in the break. We asked Argentinean legend Hernan Cattaneo to make a remix. As a long time supporter of Tronic we felt that he would be a great candidate for this remix. Hernan Cattaneo and Kevin Di Serna teamed up and delivered a stunning remix focusing on the melodic chord progression of the original! To finish this release, we asked Tokyo-based Frenchman Vantage to give his New Disco touch to the track. We are very proud of this release and hope you support it!
