CROWDPLEASER - Together We're Strong

Two of the choicest cuts from CROWDPLEASER's debut album are showcased on this limited Turbo 12".

Together We're Strong is a slow-burning, easy-going bass groove with soft keyboard jamming and trippy resonant effects on the top. Sure to appeal to fans of Wagon Repair, Innervisions, and Crosstown Rebels.

Nenekri has all the makings of a quirky summer anthem. Warm rhodes keys and a slick dubby bassline provide the foundation for a very fresh vocal performance from Bourkina Faso native Wamian Kaid, one that elevates this to the category of 'real' music. Ed Banger's cosmic wonder-dude Mickey Moonlight provides a fantastic afro-jerk acid remix, already getting huge support from Busy P and Tiga. 

A host of other versions will be available as digital exclusives, including remixes by Kompakt's Kalabrese, and newcomers Gag Vogt, Exit Ghost, and Entlet. 

The self-titled CROWDPLEASER LP is released June 6th on Turbo Recordings.

Turbo Recordings was founded by Tiga in Montreal back in 1998. The list of artists who have released music on the label is a veritable 'who's who' of top-level talent spanning a broad musical range, and this, along with a commitment to beautiful design, has earned the label respect in the industry and a cult following among fans. 

“We started out singing into plastic bags and shipping them to stores as quickly as possible. Later, we discovered that vinyl sounds way better when delivered by kayak. I learned so much the first few years…Now, as I look towards the future, I can envision music for poor people, sonic odors for the hearing impaired, even MP3s for women....Vroom, sucka!” says Tiga, the lyrical lampsman lighting the way down Dance Avenue.
