12" sampler from awesome Clouds-curated compilation of hardcore Scottish hooligan techno coming out September 22nd.

Heir apparent to the UK techno throne, Clouds have been gaining credibility with each release. With their LP Ghost Systems Rave, 12"s on Fifth Wall and Soma, and their latest Tannhauser Acid Works EP, they've reached beyond the warehouse and into the wild apocalyptic rubble of po-mo UK hardcore. 

Their lead track Blood Skating is an industrial blitz of terror-beats, laced with a haunting, Aphex-grade vocal pad. It sets the tone for this incredible release, which they've A&R'd out of thin air, apparently from their mates in Dundee, Perth, and the surrounding mud-lands. 

The 12" sampler features DJ Hesburger's 'Roll Up Your Sleeves, Welcome to the Dance,' an awesome slice of overdriven acid electro that sounds like MPIA3 on MDMA. Jane 'Fuck Your Alliance' is proper mental brain dance, while Dance Company's ‘Berzerkerz’ sounds like an unearthed hardcore anthem from 92. 

The full "…I Care Because You Don't" compilation is coming October 2014.

"You Make Me Feel" was the first outtake from Steve Bug's second Poker Flat album "Sensual". Slowly but unmistakebly building up a hypnotic groove with a rolling percussion loop, ice-cold snare and hollering vocal (reminiscent of Gainsbourg's "Bonny and Clyde"), Bug forces you flashing your sharpest dancing routines even before he throws in that distorted, take-no-prisoners, Saunderson-style organ-bassline. Flip over for another version that's served up straightened-out and stripped down yet still manages to come up with a higher percentage of FUNK. You Make Me Feel (Version 1)

Turbo Recordings was founded by Tiga in Montreal back in 1998. In addition to launching his own career, the label has been integral in the success of acts like Chromeo, Gesaffelstein, Duke Dumont and most recently, ANNA & Charlotte de Witte. Core talent includes ZZT (Tiga's collaboration with Zombie Nation), Jori Hulkkonen, BETON, Clouds, Harvard Bass, Pilo, Shaded, Dimitri Veimar and a host of new young producers in genres ranging from pure techno, electro, and house to pop. The list of artists who have released music on the label is a veritable 'who's who' of top-level talent spanning a broad musical range, and this, along with a commitment to beautiful design, has earned the label respect in the industry and a cult following among fans. 

“We started out singing into plastic bags and shipping them to stores as quickly as possible. Later, we discovered that vinyl sounds way better when delivered by kayak. I learned so much the first few years…Now, as I look towards the future, I can envision music for poor people, sonic odors for the hearing impaired, even MP3s for women....Vroom, sucka!” says Tiga, the lyrical lampsman lighting the way down Dance Avenue.
