Joris Voorn vs. Max Graham - The Evil MPX309 (Tempo Giusto Hybrid)

Cosmin TRG's "Echolab Disaster" is one of eight exclusive tracks that appear on Brandt Brauer Frick's DJ-Kicks mix. The track was pressed onto custom dubplate vinyl in order to be included on the mix, which was recorded live during a day session at Berlin's famed Watergate club. Daniel Brandt elaborates: "I met Cosmin through the Red Bull Music Academy, and we have been talking about various collaborative projects ever since. I was always into his rough sound and he's a great DJ. That's why we asked him to do a track for the Kicks, and the track he delivered was a perfect tune to have in the harder section of the mix. It also is the perfect follow up for the Bok Bok & Tom Trago track before it, to level up the energy even more, and mixes very well with the MMM track afterwards."

EX by Plastikman 

Plastikman, aka @RichieHawtin, recorded EX at the Guggenheim, New York’s iconic art museum. This very special performance was at the invitation of influential Belgium fashion designer and artistic director at Dior, Raf Simons, for the Guggenheim’s annual fundraiser, performed around a specially constructed LED obelisk.

Richie Hawtin explains, “I knew that Raf was a long time Plastikman fan so by accepting his offer to perform at the Dior event at the Guggenheim I knew I’d set myself up to a huge challenge. Although Raf was happy to have the already complete Plastikman Live 1.5 show, I locked myself away in a series of intense studio sessions and quickly recorded enough new material for the performance and realized I might also have enough for a complete new album. The music came out of me effortlessly as I was very inspired by the opportunity to play in this beautiful architectural space renowned more for art than music. The location also allowed me to step far away from the dancefloor, giving me a huge amount of freedom to EXplore any sonic ideas that I had. Art, music, architecture, painting, sculpture – these mediums are supposed to live together.”

No need to introduce JEUDI Records label co boss Doctor Dru. 
With his hits 'The voice of Dru' and the '2 know U' EP on Exploited Doctor Dru earned respect and backslapping from the biggest names of the scene. Since then the journey has started and led him around the globe touring all continents. He spread the voice of dru in the well renown clubs around and gained much love for his adrenalizing sets. But a busy schedule doesn´t mean a special outcome: we are happy to finally have him back for our 13th release on JEUDI Records. 

Proper Lane: 
If you feel like that there is time for your dancing feet to have a portion of propellent beats you should hear what this track is telling you. Skyrocket sounds coated with sensitive words told in an outer space could be the right sweeping emotion you will get from this deep technoid groover. As Doctor Dru carries a tune for further tracks like his underground hit "U Don't Dance" we are proud to hear him vocalising his approach of having a journey to a 'proper lane '.

Speaking of journey. 'Alpha Ray' will tell you a new school of sound experience. What if  a 90s rave, Pink Floyd, John Carpenter and a starbirth open a door full of shining beats and deeper dark sounds? Yes, you will get on a journey of a modern deep house track filled with a broad and redemptive sound. The beats and booms come as a relief and create a weightless feeling of sound aesthetic. We suggest Doctor Dru managed to bring exactly those feelings together on this track.

On Saturday 6th September, two friends and studio partners will host Room Three all night. Under the One Records banner label owner Adam Shelton and Alex Arnout will be in charge of the decks for six hours straight. Arnout has of course released on the label and as well as helming his own imperative Dogmatik imprint is also the studio engineer for Shelton. When it comes to the pair's DJ capabilities we've experienced first-hand their ability to build a vibe but just in case you needed a reminder of the svelte selections they're capable of, the pair have put together a B2B promo mix to give us a feel for what we can expect from the extended session ahead of us…

Maxime Dangles - Unversal

El Guincho side project gets the remix treatment from edit-champ Pilooski, Visionquest / Soft Touch mega-talent Clarian and Turbo / Multi Culti A&R Von Party.

Spanish musician Pablo Diaz-Reixa, best known for his psychedelic, tropical pop act El Guincho (released on Young Turks), posted 5 sample-based tribal tracks back in 2013 on the site tranc.es. The music drew the attention of John Talabot, who released two of them, titled simply '4' and '5,' onto his Hivern Discs label, as a vinyl-only release, which found it's way to Thomas Von Party and inspired this remix pack.

Pilooski hasn't released much music of late, but what he has put out has been of exceptional quality, with remixes for I:Cube and Tim Paris being highlights of 2014. His remix of Trances 4 is a sprawling modular head-trip, far out in every way, yet somehow listenable and versatile as a DJ tool. 

The increasingly prolific Clarian (formerly of Footprintz), flexes a progressive acid house builder out of Trances 5, proving his skill in yet another facet, after an incredibly wide range of releases ranging from indie rock on Seth Troxler's Soft Touch to indian chant-pop on his Multi Culti EP. It's a sonic departure from the original, but one that stays true to the verb in question.

Finally, Von Party brings the tempo down on to a smooth 116 BPM, restraining some of the abrasive elements to make for a low-slung crowd-pleaser that works equally as warm-up or late-night takedown - already played and supported by Tiga.

Also included in the package are the amazing originals, available for the first time digitally, and as a digital exclusive, a previously unheard alternate version of Trances 4. 

Trances Remixed is released on February 23, 2015
