Dutch artist Estella Boersma is ready to drop her side of the latest installment of Club Glow’s cassette series, namely volume 4. With nine tracks of musical fulfillment, put together to form a coherent and homogenous unit the passionate artist delivered an approach to electronic music sub-genres likes Breakbeat with a dose of pads dipped in ambient. The release is musically build on Estella’s previous outings on Dance Trax, not necessarily genre-wise, but Estella incorporate’s her preference for music from the 90s, which has always been a source and of relevance of her musical- or artistic-being. Shortly before the release we caught up with Estella to speak about her steps into the scene, ravey moments at De School, the influence of her experiences in the modeling business for her career in music as well as her productive and creatives sites.

Ink Project is Brighton-based producer Jez Lloyd’s collaborative project with vocalists Coreysan, FiFi Rong, Yazmyn Hendrix and Melanie Dymond - experimenting with various styles from song-based electronic/soul, future dub, broken beat, leftfield pop, house/techno, down-tempo and world music.

In December 2011, his debut album ‘Inside The Sun’ with remixes from Gang Colours (Brownswood) and Memotone (Black Acre) marked the start of the Blind Colour label. The album featured heavily across the blogosphere and gained radioplay from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Nemone, Don Letts, NME Radio, Red Bull Music Academy and The British Council’s Selector Show.

In August 2012, Ink Project’s unique cover and video of the Blondie classic ‘Rapture’ received over 25,000 Youtube views, before being followed by single’s ‘Keep Passing By’ and ‘Lost At Sea’.

In 2015, ‘Runaway Ritual’ was released, with remixes from Submotion Orchestra’s Ruckspin (Ninja Tune/Counter), Nate Connelly (Blind Colour) and Seahawks (Lo Recordings) before second album ‘Satellite On’ in 2016 - praised by the likes of BBC 6 Music’s Don Letts and Lauren Laverne amongst others.

Ink Project’s third album is scheduled for release in late 2020 and their current live show features an intoxicating, modern mix of live beats, bass, keyboard, fx, dub siren, theremin, DJying alongside various guest vocal appearances.

Since 2012, the collective have gigged across Europe to play at the likes of the Sonar Festival (Barcelona/Spain), the Jazz Refound Festival (Milan/Italy) the One Love Festival (Kent/UK), and landed UK tour support slots with the likes of iBibio Sound Machine (Soundway Records), Sorceress (New Zealand) and the legendary Dreadzone (Virgin/Dubwiser).

When not recording or playing live, Jez runs the Blind Colour label, does occasional sound design for film and & tv and DJs around the world, having supported the likes of Richie Hawtin, Derrick Carter, Joey Beltram and Ben UFO in the past, playing his own brand of ‘alien funk’.

It all started with the ramblings of two dreamers, Roi and The Panic Room, when they embarked on this adventure fourteen years ago due to their common passion.

14 years full of unforgettable experiences, beautiful collaborations and magical musical moments. 14 years full of enthusiasm and struggle despite obstacles and errors that have emerged in the path of these two music passionates and led to a numerous amount of lessons and successes.

Fanzine Project is an event promoter, record label and school linked to avant-garde electronic music and the disclosure of new video art formats. Since its inception in 2008, the project has been constantly evolving: From the regular Fanzine Club events, to the annual Fanzine Fest, a sound and visual experience in which varied musical styles converge in emblematic locations of A Coruña, passing through the record platform Fanzine Records.

As a final culmination of the 14th anniversary celebrations, Fanzine Project has compiled 14 tracks from different artists in the "14 Years Fanzine compilation”.

The musical spectrum of Fanzine Records has extended thanks to this compilation, some tracks have a more defined musical style and focused on the dance floor, and other tracks will be creations that go beyond and do not fit within any particular music genre.

14 original productions created by artists who have already been part of the Fanzine family for some time, together with newcomers.
