The era of library music began with the sound film. It was first produced in 1927 by the former sheet music publisher De Wolfe Music. The 60s and 70s were the heyday of these productions and a number of labels were established. Since the LP's were mainly recorded for the archives of radio stations, many original recordings are rare collector's items today.

Picture this: low lights, the soft glow of a vintage lamp, and the soothing crackle of old vinyl. Three friends, a table scattered with records, and a bottle of aged rum, its warmth carrying us through the night. 

As the needle dropped, the room became a gateway to distant lands. From the sambas of Brazil to the breezy grooves of Guadeloupe, Haiti’s soulful rhythms, the hypnotic beats of India and Senegal, and the haunting beauty of Ethiopian jazz. Each record told its own story, tracing a map of warm, vibrant soundscapes. 

This mix is an invitation to join us on that journey. Pour yourself a glass, dim the lights, and let the music take you somewhere far away.

In 2011 Warwick released a successful art exhibit with 10 beautiful paintings(acrylic on canvas)which focused on just a few of the legends of the past who have inspired the dancefloor at the Turning Point session and beyond. With the Title name "Grazing in the grass" paying tribute to the late great South African trumpeter Hugh Masekela. This mix is a compilation of various recordings from the African continent with the main focus on the more traditional sounds, spanning a few decades, music from Angola, Nigeria, Cameroun, Kenya, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Madagascar and Zaire. if you enjoy these sound then please make some noise ! . .
