Esta es una selección de vinilos que he ido juntando hace ya varios años, es lo que en Colombia se conoce como champetas antiguas Africanas que en términos coloquiales seria una selección de Soukous y Highlife principalmente del congo y Ghana. Esta música llega a Colombia a principios de los años 70 y es allí apropiada por el fenómeno socio cultural llamado CHAMPETA.

DJ oriundo de Bogotá que vive en Chile desde hace algunos años. Caracterizado por su conciencia sobre los orígenes de la música y su gran empatía con las pistas de baile. Alejandro Villanueva sigue investigando constantemente en busca de la hipnosis musical y ritmos de diferentes partes del mundo, desarrollando una amplia percepción auditiva que logra desarrollar dentro de una impecable técnica de mezcla.
El año 2014 el selector colombiano hace parte de la plataforma Frenesí con la intención de converger distintas escenas relacionándolas entre sí, registrando Dj sets y mostrando el manejo de las bandejas y mezcladoras a la gente interesada en el oficio. Poco tiempo después se integran actos en vivo exhibiendo el uso de máquinas de ritmo, sintetizadores, y secuenciadores en las sesiones llamadas "Domingo Maquinas", dando paso a la edición de música en formato digital bajo la misma etiqueta.

This is a selection of vinyls that I have been putting together for several years, it is what in Colombia is known as ancient African champetas that in colloquial terms would be a selection of Soukous and Highlife mainly from the Congo and Ghana. This music arrives in Colombia in the early 70s and is appropriated there by the socio-cultural phenomenon called CHAMPETA.

DJ from Bogotá who has lived in Chile for some years. Characterized by his high awareness of the origins of music and his great empathy with the dance floors. Alejandro Villanueva continues to constantly investigate in search of the hypnosis to musicalize rhythms from different parts of the world, developing a wide sonic perception that he manages to develop within an impeccable mixing technique.
In 2014 the Colombian selector is part of the Frenesí platform with the intention of converging different scenes, relating them to each other, recording DJ sets and showing the handling of the trays and mixers to people interested in the trade. A short time later, live acts were integrated, exhibiting the use of rhythm machines, synthesizers, and sequencers in the sessions called "Domingo Maquinas", giving way to the editing of music in digital format under the same label.
