Friday 13th March marked the release of the self titled debut offering from beatmaker/MC combo; Summers Sons.

The album features 10 tracks entirely self produced by the Summers Sons. Mastering was handled by Chemo at Kilamanjaro Studios.

Summers Sons are brothers Instrumentalist and Turt. Instrumentalist handles the production, meticulously crafting smooth jazz inspired beats punched full of thumping drums and Turt is the lyricist delivering sharp wordplay and honest observations.

As the title suggest the album brings an enduring wave of heat and feel good. This is the duo's 'mark' and the sun plays as an underlying theme throughout the album. Outlining their intentions, the brothers shine bright producing an album both penetrating yet uplifting. Turt answers his brother's clearly thought out flips so naturally, responding with such personal awareness of his surroundings, each track tears its way through the everyday life, reflecting the constant movement of everything around us. Yet ultimately it is an album that preaches the contentment of doing what makes them happy. Summers Sons is their chance to share this vision with you.

Prior to launch of the album the Summers Sons released their first promotional track in February to very positive reception, gaining support from German beat makers Twit One and Hulk Hodn.

This album also marks the first release on emerging label Fabricate Sounds, sister label to British lifestyle brand and online music magazine @FABRICATEUK. Fabricate Sounds will showcase a selection of homegrown, local artists, all inextricably linked to one another through either friendship, family or simply an intense passion for the music they love. Fabricate Sounds intends to bring you honest, raw music that reflects the environment we are surrounded with. 

This self titled album by the Summers Sons is a great insight into the movement and collective that will grow, spearheaded by the newly founded Fabricate Sounds and the artists and friends that have created it

I haven’t put up any new music for a while but this is the single for my new EP coming out in May. It’s an unofficial remix of Sylvan Esso’s “Hey Mami”. The vocal melodies of the original just had me hooked instantly and inspired me to make this!

The music I’ve been making lately is some of my best and I’m stoked to show you guys! I just finished driving/moving from Massachusetts to California and I have a lot of new inspiration and ideas for music! This is the tip of the fuckin iceberg. Enjoy :)
