“Openings” is a mix of two tunes that begins the Scots Wha Hae show:
1. The Atholl Highlanders is a Scottish infantry regiment based in Blair Atholl and the private army of the Duke of Atholl. The tune is attributed to William Ross (1823-1891). 
2. Itchy Fingers : hornpipe penned by Pipe Major Robert Pinkman.
I've arranged these tunes by creating an electro-oriented atmosphere.

Suppose you have an elephant 
with 56 millimeter trunk 
and say he’s tearing up the jungle 
(say you think he’s drunk or crazy) 
How’re you going to bring that elephant down? 
lion can’t 
bear could but don’t want to 
and the panther’s too small for that job. 

Then suppose you have an elephant 
with a million millimeter trunk 
and his jungle is the whole green world? 
(and he’s drunk and crazy) 
you see the problem.

about elephants 
No matter how hard they try 
elephants cannot pick their noses 
any more than bankers can hand out money 
or police put away their pistols

"The Turtle Project" started out as exactly that, a project, a songwriting project that was born from years of being a musician in many bands, doing countless gigs, naturally gathering experience and inspiration until, one day, I stumbled upon the fact that I could actually put those experiences and many others into words. The composing aspect grew from that into what it is today ...
My way of life .

A full time, freelance children's book illustrator, introduced to Magix music making software in January 2014.  Haven't been near music production since school about a hundred years ago.  Can't play a note, and sing like a drain unblocking - Hence any music I may eventually have the nerve to upload is all created using midi/vst instruments playing compositions created in the piano roll editor.   The Magix forum dedicated to music production is the only place to suffer my creations so far.  Didn't realise it could be so much fun though.  Woohoo.
