February 2021 Discoveries.

Many people simply want to hear and enjoy some great new music without having to waste time searching for hours. These Musical Discoveries collections aim to fulfil those needs. At least, we hope so! :)

This playlist is a compilation of the favourite musical discoveries of the Wud Records team from everything they heard at SoundCloud during February 2021.

Tracks have been arranged according to the number of plays at the precise moment of publishing, starting with the fewest. Tracks that are early in playlists tend to receive more plays than later tracks, and we feel that the ones with fewer plays need the best chance of exposure.

This playlist is extremely eclectic, so if the track you are playing isn't quite doing it for you, try the next one. It will probably be completely different.

If you enjoyed listening to something here, please give it a like and a repost. Follow the artist. Give them a shoutout on social media. Check out some of their other tracks. I wrote this song when my very close and wonderful friend informed me he had been told by doctors there was nothing else they could do for him in his fight with cancer, I intended on playing it for him at some point but it never seemed the right time , but I'm sure he has been listening from other realms. 
I wanted it to sound as if it was an old ancient vinyl , as if somebody could discover it in years to come, with the thought of it explaining the tone of the album , if ya get me :P

I've been a longtime admirer of Janine Levinson's work on Soundcloud https://soundcloud.com/janinelevinson. I thought immediately thought that this song would be a fine fit for us to do together. I had only heard it randomly played on Spotify about three weeks ago, but really dug the bittersweet cynicism of the lyrics and the fine melody to boot. Janine's vocal work on this is incredible. She was such an awesome person to work with and get to know.

"The Turtle Project" started out as exactly that, a project, a songwriting project that was born from years of being a musician in many bands, doing countless gigs, naturally gathering experience and inspiration until, one day, I stumbled upon the fact that I could actually put those experiences and many others into words.
