There Once Was

Back in the day they touted fuck the police
But now we need them right beside us shouting fuck the elites
It's raining red pills out here on these streets
So as you learn these vital messages, sit tight in ya seats
So many lies so many dark fuelled trends
To keep the blind eyes smiling back at the lens
keep the truth bombs bouncing of your defence

Look around you'll see the sheep dog circling ya
Keeping ya nervous, on edge and uncertain
When in ya life did you see so much fear speed through the
Media than you've seen this last couple of years
Everything is a crisis, everything's getting worse
Every penny is evaporating out of your purse
Every shoulder is looked over every waking minute
Coz you can't trust anybody everyone's full of shit
I Don't even know if all of my friends still exist
Coz I ain't heard nothing from them since the start of all this

And once you wake up there'll be no more sleeping

It's just my last ditch attempt to help the blind to see that

Leaving the frying pan for the fire
Slip down to the rugged shore
Face pressed to the salty floor
Push against the currents force
Whispering voices plot a course
Waves crashing as you start to slide
There’s no sign of the other side

Dirty bandage fallen slack.
Hands burnt from the last attack.
Biometrics have been destroyed.
The guard looks tired and seems annoyed.

Documents won’t be supplied.
Ushered off to the holding cell.
