The Niceguys are back to grace our ears with their latest slice of nu-funk goodness in the form of 'Strip It’. Once again featuring the Nu Soul-laden vocals of LA's very own Bobby Saint they are also joined by the effortless flow of Prop Dylan (long-time collaborator with hip-hop legends such as DJ Premier and Talib Kweli to name a few). From the first guitar licks to the irresistible bass hook and the chorus, this one is delightfully infectious and uplifting.
TNG: "After Bobby delivered the early vocal ideas, we instantly connected to an early Prince and James Brown feel. We built the instrumentation around that 70's vibe, with warm Rhodes and funky guitar riffs. It was important to us to have a retro sound but still feel modern and when Prop Dylan jumped on, his way of flowing over the beat was the perfect compliment!"

When I first heard Tuxedo, Mayer Hawthorne's and Jake One's project on Soundcloud, I particulary loved So Good, and wished the song would run longer. I reached out, and they kindly let me dabble with their original recording. Fast forward a few years, Tuxedo is now out globally and with a full album too.
